Pretty good article in the Des Moines Register (Iowa). The more people read it, the more chance it will be in the most popular article and attract some other Iowans. I'll just put the beginning of the article so people can click the link to view the rest.

Ron Paul sounds a little cranky at times. But it would be a mistake to write him off as a crank.

If you pay close attention to Paul’s philosophy of the Constitution, government, international relations and economic theory, you will find a man who is quite consistent in his views. Agree or disagree with those views, Paul is not the sort of politician who changes them to suit the moment. It just happens that, at this moment, Ron Paul’s world view is resonating with a lot of people, from students on college campuses to elderly worried about their own economic futures.

I don't like it. It doesn't trash him although it uses words to allow them to trash him later 'absolutist' etc. But it makes it look like he wants to end social security and that is a huge issue particularly with Gingrich pretending he will save it, with no funding in sight. Ron is the only one who would protect those programs and actually has a plan that works to do it.
