Please read Forum Rules and Regulations. "Respect time of other users."

Since I'm a Constitutionalist, I follow the Forum Constitution at all times. I now move that we enforce the 13th Amendment of this Constitution and ban anyone posting a RickRoll or any other related trick link. Violators will get 2 infractions before they are permanently banned, which means they are gone FOREVER! Mods will now be on the alert for this and will be enforcing this rule. If not, then we should amend the Constitution to add this very important rule.

No, 2girls1cup is far worse. I know this without ever having seen it because I've heard it described. There's no way in hell I'll subject myself to that voluntarily.

This thread is histerical. I didn't think so before, but i'm starting to wonder if you guys are new to the internets or something.

I firmly oppose banning rick rollers. It isn't wasting people's time; as soon as you see it you know what it is and can close it.

It's not like rick roll is playing in a moving window that opens up a new rick roll window each time you close it and pops up message boxes that every time you close it it gives you the next rick roll lyric. Now I had that done to be once and it was so epic I couldn't do anything but wonder at the marvel.

Sorry folks, but our little forum is getting popular, and one consequence of this is the silliness of the internet seeping in.

/me goes on for a bit longer before a segway into the fresh prince of bel-air theme

I disagree with the above post.

I'm not a big poster by any means and I'm a recently converted neocon(3 weeks). That being said, some of you are trying your best to turn us more conservative members off with the childish prank of Rick Rolling(if that's what it's called). I could see once in awhile making making a joke to lighten things up but to do it every other moment is childish and non productive of the goal of promoting RP.

Have some fun and enjoy the recent accomplishments, just try to keep it within reason if you could.

Banning Rick Roll on internet forums is like having gun control.

It's simply following the Forum Constitution. I would like to think that our supporters of all people would follow their own Constitution. If you want to change it, offer up an amendment! Rrroae is exactly right. Respect other people. That is the Constitutional position. It is the advice of our founders. Be friends with people, talk with them, and trade ideas with them.

It'd be like me going around starting threads with thread titles like,"Ron Paul is on Bill O'Reilly" but he's not really on or "Ron Paul raises $1 million today!" only to open up the thead and find he only raised $400k. Would this person be banned? Yes. If you don't support this, then you don't support the Constitution and you're a hypocrite just like Keith Olbermann.

Yeah..well we're a stubborn lot. More interested in defeating Hillary than picking a good candidate and RP is seen as a threat to us. We(now they) don't want RP taking away from our bigger candidates who may have a more legitimate chance at beating Hillary.

Sort of ridiculous rationale but that's how we think.

That's interesting. I'm trying to imagine a Hillary vs. Paul debate and it seems like it would be fantastic. Hillary has been fanatical about how evil the Republicans are for the war (its all she talks about, practically), and she'd be facing a candidate who has been voting against the war longer than she has. Frankly I think she'd be at a loss for words in these debates, and Ron Paul could really go after her on that, on the PATRIOT Act, and on fiscal discipline/socialism. Frankly I can't see how she could possibly beat Ron Paul in a General Election unless she was able to succeed with pointing out some of his more extreme positions. The war seems to be the number one issue of the campaign, and she'd be completely unshielded and vulnerable against Paul....and Paul only.

I agree and that was why I stopped by for a look a couple months ago. Just new our candidates didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of defeating her.

Then when I started reading about RP's views I new he represented me better than any of our other candidates. Many, many of us are still fiscally responsible so his message resonates with us. We just have to get over that ridiculous war before many of the others will listen with clear heads.
