There have been a handful of people on here seriously pushing the Phone from Home program. It does seem though, that the interest in this program is limited to a small number of people on here. Given that it is a really easy program to get involved in, and is such a critical part of the campaign strategy I am curious to see how many RPF members are involved in the program or are planning on signing up. The campaign needs all the volunteers we can get, even if you can only volunteer for an hour or two per week.

Just to summarize:

1) All you need is a phone and a computer.
2) You don't need any special skills or talents. Just some enthusiasm and willingness to follow some simple instructions.
3) You can make calls Monday through Saturday from 1030AM to Midnight EST.
4) There is ongoing support available on Facebook and via a help line.
5) More info is at http://phone.ronpaul2012.com

There were over 1500 members here on RPF in the last 24 hours. It would be great if the majority can participate in the program. Please take time to answer the poll question.

Just realized that the thread doesn't bump unless someone comments when the vote. So, if you can please bump it when voting I would appreciate it.

Thanks and have a great night

Need to get more of the chat room people to call. Seems like a pretty cool group, I think they would be willing to help.

Hey tbone! We should post a thread with daily stats to get people wanting to participate to meet a goal. Also phone banking is intimidating for persons that have never done it before. Getting hung up on is difficult for some people. Its all part of the process. My hope is to get 100 surveys in a row all people that put RP as their first choice. Hey I can win the lottery too eh?

I registered at rp . com and was never contacted. Thanks to this, I got registered to make calls. Now -- what's next? Training? Script? Anything?

Signed up & I'll be making my first call today!

This is an amazing program, it saves the campaign a lot of money and hours by letting us do the work. If you don't have the money to donate to the campaign, this is your chance to make a difference! The campaign NEEDS this information.

Yes google voice is supported.

Cool. I will sign up, and we need to tell the site to update its page. It currently states that Google Voice is not supported.

Google Voice users please note: We have experienced problems where voters can't hear questions and the system can't detect call events while using Google Voice. As a result, Google Voice is not supported at this time.

Its supported, but obviously you may get some technical problems. From what I hear as long as you have a FAST internet connection you will be fine

I am calling the verification number, but it doesn't answer. Yes I get 10 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload, so the speed should be fine.

Registration - Step 3 of 3
In order to complete the registration process we need to verify your phone number REDACTED
Please call us at (319) 804-8229 from the phone with the number REDACTED and we'll give you the phone verification code.

Closing in on 100 calls so far

I have been informed that the forum mods do not want us to post our phone stats in public. Loose lips sink ships? Ironically it also squashes any motivation for new people to try it and volunteer.

Did not know that. I fixed my post. Looks like they deleted a thread about Phone from Home stats

I moved it to Hot Topics as I did a similar thread the other day

What is the negative that could happen if the public sees the stats? Is there a logical answer? If anything it would help motivate the base here on the forums to get involved which as stated by the campaign will help us win.

It's basically giving the competition a glimpse at internal polling.

I can see that, is it they could see that their guy does not have much support or has support? They still would not be able to identify individual voters which is the whole point eh?

The original stats started by you that is now buried in hot topics is what got me to learn about the phone from home and interested in volunteering. It would get others to do so as well, but if the risks outweigh the rewards then so be it.

I called the RP official Phone from Home program and they told me the only reason they could think of was that phone stats should not be posted is that it might discourage or dishearten people that had poor stats.

I don't see the negatives of posting stats on number of calls. I can see negatives of posting the results of the surveys

I called 50,000 homes in Iowa and all 100% said they are going to vote for Ron Paul and convince at least one friend that is undecided.

Their #1 issue? Romney sucks.

That makes logical sense. Now will the MODS allow us to post daily stats if we do not include survey results?

There are several. From what we have heard, it is usually a local party official or representative leaving a message of support for Paul.
