We already have rationing in healthcare. The alternative to rationing is to have everything be available to everybody and no limits on what would be covered- any restriction on who or what gets covered is rationing. That is not a viable option. It is rationed by insurance companies and what they cover or who they cover with on their policies. It is not to those who have either full coverage by their insurance - either through their employer or self purchased- or enough money to get what they want. For the other 99%, there is rationing. If there is no rationing, then the costs become even more astronomical than they are now.
