I'm not so sure that I agree with you.....all that I could think was "I wonder what incredible truths were being spoken by Ron Paul only to be covered up with foolishness?".

I'm surprised that I was told that I need to "lighten up" and was given a negative rep for my comment ( posted above).
I wasn't out to offend anyone....

I was just trying make each of us think about the enormity and importance of the message of freedom and personal liberty.
I don't think that it deserves to be corrupted.

The future is coming. You have a role in how it unfolds.

The -rep means nothing to me personally......However, it does trouble me to think that there are those who would shoot me down for making such a comment. How will we stand up to what lies ahead of us if we do things like this over such matters?

I thought that I had put in enough effort into my statement that this was "just my opinion" and to indicate that it was nothing personal. Guess that I failed.
My opinion remains unchanged.

Agreed. You have to be able to laugh sometimes. Our situation is dire, yes, but please take a minute to enjoy some non-sensical humor.

Perhaps you're right. Notice that I said that I lost most of my sense of humor? I still have a little somewhere.

Honestly, I used to joke and make people laugh all of the time. Since I've started realizing what is happening to our country I've changed. The big change came when I stopped watching TV and broke loose of the mind numbing, programming of our society.

I worry sometimes about all of our younger, brighter future getting sucked into the vortex of popular culture...It will suck us all down eventually....that's what it's designed to do. I plan to keep warning you about it no matter what.

I'm not saying that any of you are wrong - I'm just asking each of you to take a step back every once and a while and think of what might actually be happening when you consume the ideas of others.

By the way, at the end of the RP video Ron Paul actually says "For Liberty" as he rings the Liberty Bell at the Texas Republican Straw Poll in 2008.
Liberty tastes so much better than "free bananas".
