I sent the following message to all of my friends on facebook that have shown an interest in Ron Paul. I urge you to send a similar message(feel free to copy)
Dear Friends,
I am sending this message to all of my friends who have shown support or interest for Ron Paul for President.
We have one shot at this, no do overs, and we ALL can help during the next critical month.
Please consider the following;
If you haven't seen the latest news, Ron Paul is surging in the early states of Iowa and New Hampshire where the campaign is concentrating resources, now tied for 1st in IA and a strong 2nd place in NH.http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/9818-ron-paul-surges-in-polls
This is in spite of receiving nearly no media attention(Between May and October 2011 being the feature of only 2% of stories according to Pew Research, of which 21% was positive coverage http://www.journalism.org/analysis_report/cr?src=prc-headline )
The way Ron Paul's campaign is overcoming the clear media blackout is by having actual people supporting his candidacy in lieu of media propaganda the other candidates rely on, and running an efficient and smart campaign with those resources, just as he would do as Chief Executive. The first line of that effort is volunteers calling voters in those early states on the phone conducting a quick survey, asking respondents which candidate they currently support, and what are their top two issues in the election -- the campaign then follows up and delivers personalized literature, phone messages, and traditional tv/print ads targeting those issues, and/or will utilize the ace in the hole, the 500 youth volunteers the campaign is organizing to knock on doors in the two weeks before the caucus and primary http://www.youthforpaul.com/win

They have created a very simple to use web based phone banking platform. You register at http://phone.ronpaul2012.com/ , enter your phone number, and begin surveying, asking those 3 simple questions and recording the responses in the web form. That's it. No sales pitch. All outgoing calls are through the campaigns #, so you remain anonymous. If using a cell phone, you may be able to add the campaign # to your "friends and family" type list, so you don't even use minutes(I do this on at&t)
There are about 600,000 registered republicans in Iowa, and we need about 40,000 votes to turn out for Ron Paul to be the first place choice for nominee, if the same turnout number of 120,000 come out in 2012 as did in 2008. We just need to identify and target with effective messages, and the proof is in the results that this is working.
