Are they going through all the power rankings or just announcing #1? Yesterday was a Hillary fest! I bet they'll still put Dr. Paul #6 at best.

MSNBC need to get with the program. If fox and cnn crushes the ratings.. try putting ron paul on for a week straight and see what happens.

Seriously, that could completely shift the power to MSNBC as the "top tier" news station :D

I know i'd trust them alot more, that's for sure.

Bump this back up for the show. We'll see if Matthews comes through on his secret support for Dr. Paul and puts him #1! I have a feeling that it'll be Rudy though because Matthews is a hack! Ha! Life's a campaign!

EDIT: It's Rudy so just turn it off. They're gonna rank the others on Thursday I guess. Matthews is such a tool.

This is how Mathews gets his hard on. By telling you who will win.

Make him #3, McCain and Thompson are for fails and Huckabee's poor.

Rudy was gonna forfeit the early small contests
and just be happy with picking up mass delegates in the big states
but he is planning on focusing on New Hampshire now.
New Hampshire will not pick him over Dr. Paul.

It hasnt started well. They played up the Rudy vs Ron in the debates saying Ron keeps giving Rudy "slam dunks" on 9/11.

EDIT: RP will be discussed on Thursday.

In a way, that's honestly not bad coverage. Matthews frequently plays up the discussion between Paul and Giuliani. That just makes people more aware of him.

I don't know. I nearly puked. It seemed to me it was a Ghouliani ass suck fest. It was a contest to see who could suck the Ghoul's ass the hardest. He's tough! He's a leader! He's the kind of guy you want on the subway at 3 am. No, what he is is a sleazy, venal, self serving opportunist.

I saw the lead-up to this segment (comes on at 7pm EST I believe) and I had the sneaking suspicion that Ron Paul would be talked about in some manner. Blitzer said it'd be controversial.

I caught it late, did Mathews even mention the $4.3 million? He seemed to go out of his way to make sure everyone thinks Guliani owned Ron Paul in the debates. Then everyone went on and on about how great Rudy is. The whole thing left me pretty speechless.

Better bump this up for today! They're going through the Republicans at 7 PM ET. They mentioned Dr. Paul with the contenders in the preview and said the list would be controversial. They're also giving us free advertising for the money bomb December 16th as I just saw it scroll by on the news ticker on the bottom of the screen. Matthews is still a tool and a hack.

What I dont get is that so much of what they talk about "there is no one that is conservative" and then they never mention Dr. Paul. Saying no to taxes can you get more conservative then not spending.

Sorry.. my bad.. I missed that..

Just seems like there's always a hundred people saying "youtube it"
and only 1 or 2 do it..

I mean.. people should start contributing youtubes themselves
instead of telling someone else to do it for them..
(not meaning you.. sorry again)

and Crapthews had me pretty unhappy at that moment..

but seriously.. it gets SO old to read a thread.. and every other post is
"youtube it".. you know.. (not you Avalon) sometimes I feel like saying..

"YOU youtube it.."

I understand...I'm just disappointed my joke has been overlooked/ruined :p

But on that topic, you have to understand that very few people have a video capture setup for their cable/satellite. The requests are annoying and they seem to take for granted the effort put in, but I doubt most posters will care what you or I say...it certainly hasn't had any effect on the rickrollers (seriously, that joke has been running on here since May!).

The fact that Chris Matthews did not even include Ron Paul in the TOP 10 of possible candidates to win the Whitehouse in 2008 is ridiculuous!

We need to SWAMP Hardball with our opinions on the exclusion of Dr. Paul from his "Power Rankings".

The Power Rankings: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/

E-mail Hardball: hardball@msnbc.com

My e-mail

Dear Hardball,

How can Chris do the Top 10 Power Rankings of presidential candidates and exclude the candidate with the largest grassroots support?

There is more excitement and growth surrounding the candidacy of Texas Congressman Ron Paul than any other candidacy. He has raised over $8 million dollars from over 30,000 different contributors so far this quarter including the largest one day take of $4.3 million.

I have never been one to subscribe to media conspiracies, but the more I see his candidacy ignored and marginalized by the mainstream media – the more I think there is something else at work here.

I really thought this show was different.

Please start covering the amazing movement going on across this nation that many call the Ron Paul rEVOLution!

Sincerely,
-John-

Media is a business, Rudy has the most money and all this rimming is money talking. Rudy has his in's into the media and he is spending big money to always shift the debate towards him. Trust me, this is no different than Fox's talking points that the talking heads get in the morning. It is all carefully crafted and manipulated.
