Ron Paul Endorsed By Three New Hampshire Conservatives
22 State Reps now officially back Paul for president

CONCORD, N.H. – State representatives Guy Comtois (R-Center Barnstead), Seth Cohn (R-Canterbury), and Jonathan Maltz (R-Hudson), today join 19 other state legislators in endorsing 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul.

“We need action today to restore prosperity in this country; we can no longer push tough decisions into the future. Our economy will continue to tank with endless debt and spending,” said State Senator Jim Forsythe (R-Strafford), who chairs the Ron Paul campaign in New Hampshire.

“We faced a crushing deficit in this state, and these three legislators joined others to make the tough decisions to cut spending by an historic 11 percent in one year and balance the budget without increasing taxes. It’s no surprise that the conservatives who would take on that responsibility want to see the same kind of leadership in Washington.

“Unlike his rivals, Ron Paul has a credible economic plan to cut $1 trillion in one year and balance the federal budget in three. That’s New Hampshire medicine, and it’s what our national economy needs to get back on track.”

That's amazing considering Romney was buying them all off with $1000 campaign donations

There are currently 294 Republican reps in the NH Legislature. 22 represents 13% of the body. In other words, the reps are endorsing Paul in accordance to what the people are telling them they want.

Now that Paul's poll % is up to 17% in NH according to Bloomberg, I anticipate that number rising in the future.

I found 26 New Hampshire state legislators endorsing Ron Paul. I hope the campaign gets official endorsements from the 4 who haven't "officially" endorsed.

Vermont has 150 state reps, according to Wikipedia, and quite a few are Dems, a few are Progressives. 48 are Republicans. We have 22 of 48....

I wonder how many have endorsed someone now, and how they are distributed.

I think you mean about 7.5 percent of the republican legislatures, not 13 percent. ...but I suspect you're only a month ahead of yourself. The rest will come around soon.

According to your link, it is 24 state reps and 2 state sen. The campaign has announced all of them, I think. I am not really sure what's going on, I could be wrong.

Also, Rep. Steve Vallincourt has endorsed Ron Paul over a dozen times this year but he isn't on the list. He is the most popular in his district but is controversial.

Unfortunately, there aren't many FSPers in NH. The goal is 20k and we just have 1k. Even with 1k, NH is the freest state and making the most progress towards liberty. It looks like most of the FSP state rep folks in NH have endorse Paul already. It looks like at least one endorsed Johnson. There are around 80 to over 100 libertarian state reps in NH and it looks like most of them haven't endorsed anyone yet. While the national reelection rate is around 94%, it NH it is more like 70% so there is a ton my risk in endorsing a candidate in NH than anywhere else.

BTW, Youth For Ron Paul is trying to get more liberty activists to NH this winter to help get Ron Paul elected. Have you spread the word to your friends yet :)

Now just imagine.. if those few hundred free-staters living there would just make an effort to support a fellow anarcho-capitalist's effort to dismantle the state from within....

FREE STATERS - WE NEED YOU.

Someone is going to be elected president in 2012, unfortunately. Flexing your collective muscle and showing up for a fellow rothbardian is not an endorsement of the state. Just do it, damnit!

Now, if the campaign can organize these folks to set aside some time to campaign for Ron.

Cool - BUT will the people of N.H. know about these endorsements?

How do these endorsements help? Do these reps send out a mail to their lists or ?

If it's anything like here, the state reps have an email list. I am on my rep's list, I get one maybe once every few weeks. Most people I know who have an interest in politics are on these lists.

Special thanks to the 12 people who moved to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project and successfully became local state representatives! Roughly 15 have tried and roughly 12 succeeded. Just about anyone can become a local state representative if they move to New Hampshire.

Some reps might have lists. Keep in mind that in NH, unlike every other state, reps are more like volunteers than professional politicians. The salary is only $100 a year. I have emailed 100s of reps over the years and no rep (including the 15 or so I've had) have ever put me on a list.

How do these endorsements help? People talk to reps. The MSM sometimes covers the endorsements. Blogs and forums sometimes cover such endorsements. I suppose that even LTE and talk shows sometimes mention thee endorsements. Some small papers allow reps to write op-eds in their local paper explaining the endorsement. At least a couple reps that endorsed Paul did that in NH. Sometimes candidates mention the endorsements in their lit. Sometimes the folks that endorse candidate X announce it in their blog posts, on the TV shows or on Facebook. There could be things I'm missing.

That's an excellent idea!

Have them all say there names one at a time.
I'm __________ representative from ________
I'm __________ representative from ________
etc

and all of them together in say "and we support Ron Paul for president"

That would probably get peoples attention.
