I thought this was interesting:

I like David Friedman even more now.

For those who don't know, David is the son of Milton Friedman (who Reason loves).

Have you read The Machinery of Freedom? The PDF is online (just google, first hit).

I have read some of it that was published in another book I physically own. I have skimmed parts of it online, but I hate reading PDFs. Once I get a kindle or tablet I will read it all.

I have a subscription to reason. I have to say I'm pretty happy with their magazine, I can't find much to complain about.

bump.

Reason is the worst kind of Establishment front; it draws in the people most likely to wake up but then averts them from the key foundations of liberty. No doubt they have good people in their ranks, but they have a lot misinformed, pseudo-libertarians and a culture that pervades that leads to an overall disdain for the champion of liberty: Ron Paul.

I bet you'll like him less as you find more about him, since he and Rothbard used to trash each other. I remember Friedman claiming that Rothbard was so dishonest that he couldn't even read Rothbard, because he would always have to look up whether Rothbard's claims were true.

Well, I've been to parties that he's personally killed and had to move on to find other fun. The type of thing where the tits were about to start coming out and he shows up and recites an Anglo-Saxon poem. True story.
But that doesn't change the fact that he's written some good stuff.

I am a little bit familiar with this. But he gets some props for exposing Reason here.

LOL, MORE DETAILS PLZ. What is the story behind this? Where/why were you hanging out with him, etc? Interesting stuff.

Basically this.
