Thus for the Iowa Caucuses we need to start canvassing the first weekend of December and do so (with the exception of Christmas weekend) until New Year's weekend (the weekend before the caucuses on Jan. 3). For New Hampshire one can start Dec. 9-10 and excluding Christmas go every weekend until the primary Jan. 10 and for South Carolina one can start New Year's weekend and go for every week up until the primary Jan. 21. and so forth on four weekend intervals for each contest through Feb. 6. Then we'll see where we are at.

Interesting, but this is for general voter turnout. Not for a particular candidate. I don't know if this translates to the campaign.

The campaign uses phoning to 1) find current voters for paul 2) know undecided voters issues

Once we know our voters we can always follow up as the caucus approaches (phone, mail, direct).

The appeal to please support Ron Paul and attend the caucus I think would have more effectiveness than an appeal to their civic duty to just vote for anyone.

In other words, for most of us phoning is the most we can do. I don't think this study refutes the effectiveness of that.

One of the reasons Rand won is because of all the calling done on his behalf.

This is some good info for any campaign. It basically states that to win, you need to go door to door. Hopefully, the phone from home is more successful, and a database is set up to collect the supporter info and call back on important dates/times/caucus locations/become a delegate or support one in your particular precinct. Paul supporters are tenacious, and we know what's at stake. These numbers could be higher for candidates like Ron Paul, so long as an effective strategy is used.

Keep up the good work!
