i just found out that Mccain is attending the area republican meeting tonight.
we RP supporters have been showing up for the last 6 months and we are pretty well received.

i would like to ask him a question, but i cant think of anything that would help RP look like the better candidate.

if you can think of something i will ask it, and hopefully they will allow me to film it.

i don't mind asking anything , except questions that will get me maced !

Ask how we can possibly keep SS solvent while we are spending a trillion dollars on foreign affairs. How can this work when the baby boomers retire?

And anything related to shamnesty and campaign finance reform would be good.

Ask him about the falling dollar. We need to highlight that Ron Paul has the solution.

National polls have support for the war at around 26%, most Americans blame the current Republican Administration for the current quagmire in Iraq. Since you've announced your candidacy earlier this year you've supported this Administration's Foreign policy. Do you plan to modify your stance on this issue at all? As clearly the American people are looking for a change.

Ask how it is our nation's best long-term defense interests to fund our middle eastern excursions by borrowing money from Communist China.

Don't imply there's no islamofascist threat or that we don't need to be there or anything, just: how is the methodology we're using sustainable, and how is it actually helping our defense. How are we going to stop China if(when) they come knocking and they already own the dollar.

This is the most important question for all of these hawks, and the one they absolutely don't want to face. They want to use people's fear for their benefit, while selling out real defense.

Are you mad at Ron Paul for stealing your 'maverick' label?

How come Ron Paul is raising more money than you for the primary?

When Ron Paul raised $4.2 million dollars in one day, did it make you sad that it was 4 times as much as the 1 million you raised online on a day in the 2000 race?

Ron Paul's donation surge has been widely discussed, and you yourself are quoted in the debates as saying that "THE SURGE IS WORKING, not 'it seems to be working'...ITS WORKING!" Are you concerned that this surge that is working will dwarf your campaign?

The only two candidates in the Republican race this year who have taken a stand against torture are yourself and Ron Paul. If you do not win the nomination, could you support a candidate who condones torture after your experience as a Vietnamese prisoner?

Too wordy, but something like that is what I've always wanted to ask him...

exactly - and tie in our SS mess so seniors start thinking how this war will effect them personally.

well, get wise on that Amnesty he supported, it had more loopholes than swiss cheese and there was major talk that SPECIAL INTERESTS were actually IN THE ROOM when that shit of legislation was being drafted... not those reprersenting US.. but La Raza!

Also, you can ask him why is that ALL the top tier on both sides are CFR members and that these CFR members have been linked to "globalistic expansion at the price of our liberties"..

there is ALOT you can bring up.

"Senator, today the economy is in crisis with a weakening dollar and recent annoucements from the Fed that we are heading into recession. With the advent of legislation such as the Patriot Act and (some Freedom Act, forgot the name), civil liberties seem to be undermined in the current administration.

The mantra of conservatives is that terrorists attack us because we are rich and free. As we as a nation are noticing ourselves become poorer and our liberties taken away, do you believe that terrorists will find less incentive to attack us as we're conforming to their agenda? Are we emboldening the terrorists just by our economic and civil policies here at home?"

You can fix that up a little bit, should take 30 seconds to ask.

The CFR questions are all bad ideas IMO, I'd probably ask the torture question without mentioning Paul just because I'd like to hear him talk about it. The SS question is going to be answered with some nonsense about pork.

Safest question that would hurt him the most is gun control.

Ask him if he's a member of the Council for Foreign Relations.

Yep, cut right to the chase. The other questions will just allow him to weasel and use sophistry.

Ask him why he's a member of a Socialistic organization determined to undermine our National Sovereignty.

I don't think you should ask a CFR question unless you think most of the audience knows what that is and is sympathetic, it can look nutjob like. Whenever you see somebody try to 'ambush' a candidate with one of these "conspiracy theory" (even if we don't think of it like that) type questions in a confrontational manner it usually makes the person asking the question look bad.

Then again it's all in how you ask it. If you asked it very calmly like explain what the CFR stands for and ask John Mccain why he is a member and if he wants national soverignity then it could be okay.

But my pick is the TORTURE QUESTION

How about this: "There's been a lot of talk about the constitution lately. Do you feel it's something to strictly adhere to as some candidates have argued, or is it somewhat outdated and exceptions should be made to its adherence."

There's probably a better way to ask that question. But since Ron Paul is running on a 100% adherence to the constitution, it sort of implies that the others are not. And I would like to get them to admit this fact, that they believe it's more of a guideline these days than the law.

Ron Paul's 2008 campaign chair, Kent Snyder, first worked for Paul on the 1988 campaign, when, Snyder says, Senator John McCain told him, "You're working for the most honest man in Congress."

Bring this up!

Senator McCain, why are you not as honest as Ron Paul?
