I'm trying to put together a documented list of platforms directly stolen from Ron Paul. His primary opponents have seemingly divided up his many positions to dilute Ron Paul's message.

If people feel this list is worthwhile, my goal is to try to annotate each on with a link/date to Ron Paul's earliest (findable) statement putting forth that position. Preferably, I'd like to document each other candidates shift on said position - preferably documenting not only their current position... but an older one that contradicts it.

My initial list is still under construction - I'm posting it here because I believe in the power of crowd sourcing and was hoping some of you might be able to help.

Ron Paul -
19xx - Audit the Fed. Then End the Fed. (need documentation)
2012 -- Audit the Fed. Then End the Fed.

Newt Gingrich
???? - has Newt ever ridiculed the idea publicly?
2012 -- Audit the Fed (need to source documented quote)

Ron Paul -- Will cut 1 trillion Dollars from the budget his first year.
Mitt Romney --- Claims he will cut half a trillion from the budget... within 4 years.

Ron Paul - Cut 5 cabinets.
Rick Perry - Cut 3 cabinets.

Ron Paul 0-0-0
Herman Cain 9-9-9
(note - may need to remove this one as Ron Paul never said 0/0/0 before Cain's 9/9/9 in such a 'catchy' way. may need to reword it so it doesn't sound like he did.)

Ron Paul -- multiple documented predictions of the housing bubble and economic collapse years in advance
Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich -- suddenly claim to have predicted it as of 11/9/2011

Ron Paul -- Balance budget within 3 years
Rick Perry -- Balance budget by 2020 (end of his theoretical second term)

anyway -- the above list is obviously incomplete -- any help filling in the blanks, or adding new examples would be extremely helpful to me. I will edit the OP with fixes/additions/sources until we have something complete.

Perry -- Bernanke is treasonous; fed needs to stop printing money
Bachmann -- lone voice against raising the debt limit
Romney -- eliminate 10% of federal workforce through attrition
Bachmann -- end the dept of education

Here's what I posted on WND Forums:

Now I know that every candidate wants to be unique in their ideas and proposals. We have the 59point "Jobs" plan, the 9-9-9 (special formula to solving all the problems of the world), another contract with America, and then there is Perry's unforgettable plan. Yet, it seems to me that the debates have turned from who better presents their ideas to who better presents Ron Paul's ideas.

No one can deny that politics have taken a turn towards a more Ron Paulesque streak. Santorum said he predicted the Housing crisis when it was Paul who did. Watch this:

Then we have Newt and Cain wanting to Audit the Fed. Ron Paul has been calling for this for a very long time and actually put out legislation to do it. Watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kRHZDWaVoA
and who objected:

and now suddenly favors:

Then we have Perry wanting to eliminate government departments. Who hasn't seen this EPIC POLITICAL DEBATE FAIL:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUA2rDVrmNg
when it was Ron Paul who proposed eliminating 5 departments:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDNtmUu1bEU
It is so good that Limbaugh even said that Paul's proposed budget was the answer to the debt/deficit/spending crisis, watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcTYUwCbslE
and Hannity practically endorsed it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmVlfiyyul8&feature=related

Apparently, everyone is shaping their responses around Dr. Paul's ideas.

So I think it is very clear who has won the debate, that is RON PAUL. Unless you want theatrics and showbiz, you can you can elect someone else.

Romney (if I recall) dropped "Japan" after Ron had already used it last night as an example of prolonging a recession. Mitt also said last night he agreed with Paul (on healthcare).
