I pity him.

Hopefully we'll pick up some of his support. They won't go to Romney, and Cain is starting to look really bad.

Dean Scream was pretty epic. I don't know if "oops" is up there in terms of epicness....definitely an equal on fail, but not on pure craziness

Time to start the Welcome Rick Perry Supporters thread?
lol

I like Perry as a person, but he's competing directly with Paul for the conservative base. Hopefully this will get more conservatives to shift over to our man Ron.

i think this may not be shaping up to be what everyone thought. We all figured it would boil down to Romney and an Anti-Romney, but I think we may have more than two top tier candidates. A lot of people are looking for anyone but Romney, others are turned off by Cain while others a fiercly loyal to him while Gingrich has attractive rhetoric and Paul has his solid support and excellent organization. Either the later three cancel each other out and Romney wins or something happens to even out Romney's numbers with the others and were in a real horse race

Perry is dead in the water.
ROMNEY is their guy. You can count on it.
Cain will stay in the news so he can remain a "front runner", but really, he has no shot.
And, get ready for the ressurection of the Newt. It is coming. He's got one role here and that is to round out the neocon top 3. Expect to hear the word "surge" about 70 million times here in the next few weeks from the msm. Fun!

That had to suck being up there...part of me does feel bad for Perry. Drudge's "53 Seconds" headline and link isn't going to ease the pain. ;)

I don't want Perry dropping out just yet--I'd like to see him spend his $14M attacking Romney in IA and NH first. If Cain is raising as much money as he claims he is, then the same goes for him, too.

My thoughts exactly. Although I would suspect Romney to pick up a segment of Perry supporters.

I personally saw no problem whatsoever with the "Dean Scream." To this day I don't understand what the problem with that was. Seems surreal that his enthusiasm was somehow a negative.

He should have stuck with his own advice not to do anymore debates. Now he is gone Cain will be the village idiot to make Romney look good.

I am serious. He messed up badly. He will be the laughingstock for weeks to come. That is why I pity him, not because it is over for him.
