Media Pundit: "This just in on the race to the white house 2012! Cain, despite the "baseless" sexual harrassment claims this past week continues to top straw polls while the real winner this election Romney closes in... on a side note. A few hundred of "the unelectible Ron Paul"'s strongest crazy rude college kid and conspiracy loon base supporters did however manage to slam a few polls in his favor but those polls dont matter anyway. oh and by the way.. see?? we do cover Ron Paul":rolleyes:

:eek::confused::mad:

Very nice. I think it'd be interesting to have some of this sort, but, instead of taking percentages, considering the total votes each candidate got in all the straw polls until now.

I guess Rick Perry's numbers were incorrectly put. In fact, if we substitute 39.00% for 9.00%, then the total amounts to 100.3%, which is correct, since the surplus 0.3 can be attributed to rounding numbers.

I'm not sure, but maybe that's what happened.

I originally started that way at first and after it was taking so long I realized why the last guy didnt do that. Theres a lot of holes and additional math to. I switched to percentages. :) Good News Though; Without doing the rest of the candidates I did tally Pauls totals: From the polls listed above, Paul's supporters spoke for 11,669 out of 45,553 votes, for 25.6% of the pie. Not bad! Based on the percentages, we already know that nobody else did that well.

See, I knew I would make a mistake. Perry was supposed to be 3.9%, so that brings his cumulative total down to 6.53%. :)
Good catch!

I didn't include all the candidates that participated in these straw polls (huntsman, johnson, etc) so most of the percentages above wont total to 100%. You would have to compare with the numbers on wikipedia to determine where I made mistakes.

I just went over all the numbers again after a nights rest and found 5-6 errors. My original post has been updated with all the correct data. Gueass what? Even after the 5-6 errors, we're still winning! And Romney dropped a couple points so that's good.
