Try these guys:

http://forest.net/services/shared/webhosting.php

I use them for a forum that's MANY times this size, they are inexpensive, their support is great, and their service is almost perfect.

but whyy?

They are considered one of the least technically and service competent hosts. There are much better hosts, if you want a good one start by calling them by phone and then checking their tech support number.

.

I haven't tried yahoo.. but.. I would guess they're more focused towards
the people who don't know much about computers or hosting ect..

look down to the next thread..

I posted a good cheap host for the money
and a free forum..

planning additional forums/website, need server help plz!

Try these two:

For a low traffic, static site: http://experthost.com

High traffic, dynamic site: http://hostmysite.com

I have used them both for years.

Go to Dreamhost.com, sign up http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html and use the promo code

101010

you will get a full year of hosting ($119.40) for $9.30, you will get a free name, if you have any questions just contact me.

I'm happy with 3ix.org

http://3ix.org

$1 a month... $3 a month... or $5 a month.

http://revolutioni.st
Is on the $3 a month plan.

3 total hosted domains/websites...
25 subdomains...

And they're support is QUICK!

The longest I've waited was about 8 minutes for an email from them.

The unlimited bandwidth is nice too.

As a side note....

Google Apps.

http://google.com/a/

Free unlimited email accounts with >5gig mail storage per account.

You need CNAME access (DNS control - go daddy allows you to do this if you register the domain name with them. Most hosts do once you have your site up as well...) in order to get it set up.

After that you can pass out free Gmail accounts @yourdomain.XXX

don't go with dreamhost or yahoo, they're either exaggeratedly low prices, or too expensive. you DON'T get what you pay for

PM one of the people who've replied that offer this kind of service, save some money and pay your friends. This includes me.
