He's an even bigger liar than we thought. Personally, I think they're just testing the masses to see how their truth meter is doing. This will allow them to gauage the vulnerability of the American people and impose even more ridiculous regulations and laws on us. I wonder if Cain himself realizes how ridiculous that claim is?

Kochcain claims a lot of things

Remember when he claimed that he was quoting a poet? Or that time when he claimed his entire economic policy didn't come from a video game? Or that time he claimed that he didn't recall there being any charges/settlement? The man claims a lot of things.

I do find it funny, though, that he thinks this story is simply going to go away because he refuses to acknowledge it anymore.

He fakes it to make it. This will fail.

Are we so sure he's lying? Wouldn't that just blow up in his face when the FEC reports come out?

Romney claimed he raised $10 million in one day, and it turned out to be only $1 million per the FEC reports. Of course, media circle-jerked over his fake moneybomb, but no media coverage when it turned out he lied.

His fundraising lie gets bigger everyday...

Who could possibly be donating that much money to him unless the big banks decided to jump on board with him and start funding him? I highly doubt he could raise that kind of money from small individual donations. The guy is a sociopath, so it is very possible he is lying.

No way because even Ron Paul hasn't raised as much.

They can't without flagrantly violating FEC regulations. Now if that total includes a super pac, yes kochcain. I think it's the next step in their test run to buy the presidency.

Why is this hard to believe? He has had a full month+ of free media advertising, his website has had more traffic than RP's for the last month, consistently; and he is running NATIONAL RADIO ADS asking for donations.

The conspiracy theories of "lies" is just getting really annoying at this point. If you can't see the fact the media can make/break a candidate, there's an issue.

If that's the case he will join Romney to be outraising Ron on top of outpolling Ron. Then we have new problems.

During the last few hours Ron's FB likes increased by almost 100. During the same period Cain's over 1000. More importantly, are these new folks donating?

It's not that hard to believe. Look at what Perry brought in the last quarter with the media push, $17+ million.

You folks claiming this to be fake are ignorant bastards. Watch TV or listen to the radio, or open a newspaper, sometime. The FEC reports won't lie.

Koch brothers

Don't they run Americans For Prosperity, which ran that last "debate"? The following day, every time I turned on the radio, WSB was STILL promoting that stupid "debate" between Cain and Gingrich. It was even running the post-debate program on Sunday morning. Talk about pushing it...geez.

6.7 million in 38 days?
6,700,000 / 38 = 176,315 / day.

His IA money bomb has 649K currently.

Maybe.

What I don't understand is if Cain is running ads asking people to donate to his IA fund AND he has raised that much money, why hasn't he reached his goal yet? I'm wondering if they are reporting money that is donated to a PAC and it's all coming from a small group of people. If he drops out before the end of the quarter (or the deadline to report) will he still have to disclose how much he has raised this quarter? Maybe he is trying to get as many donations as he can in order to buy the VP position.

He seems pretty toxic for a VP choice.

It's not that hard to believe. Money chases the front-runners in the polls. Look how much Perry raised, before people realized he was a moron.

Cain is having his own money bomb for Iowa now, to try to raise $999,000 by Nov. 9th. Not sure when it started -- saw an ad on Reason today.

If he drops out before the end of the quarter (or the deadline to report) will he still have to disclose how much he has raised this quarter?

Yes. Anyone who raises over $5,000 has to report, even if they drop out.
