Blame it on Ben. He got all charged up on wine and hashish and decided to calculate how many candles get burned over winter and decided they could be greener by changing the clocks going into and coming out of winter.

In one of the midwest states that adopted daylight savings to save energy a couple years back (I guess they'd been a hold out), they found energy usage actually went UP I forget why, but they actually tracked utility usage and it was the opposite of what they expected with a distinct break in usage. They mentioned it in a couple of stories, but govt errors don't get corrected if they only burden US, of course.

Ah that makes sense. I checked my iphone and my mac computer etc last night (all the stuff that gets times externally) and nothing changed at midnight so I remember wondering if it was going to change sunday night instead, but that makes more sense now.

Those of us in AZ and Hawaii don't have to use your satanic DST. I laugh at you!!! BWAH HAHAHAHAHA!!! :D
