View Full Version : Bill O'Reilly's Presidential Town Hall w/ Ron Paul (Monday, Nov. 7th, 6-9PM Eastern)

Article V
11-04-2011, 05:12 AM
Bill O'Reilly is hosting a special live radio presidential town hall. There will be 6 GOP candidates at the town hall, including Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, and Herman Cain. You'll be able to hear the radio town hall through various local radio stations (posted below); and during the town hall, there will be a LIVE online straw poll on billoreilly.com.

This could be an especially unique opportunity for Ron Paul since the radio platform will force voters to listen to the words of all the candidates rather than getting sucked into the visual pageantry. Much like the Nixon/Kennedy debate showed that radio served Nixon better while TV showcased Kennedy, this town hall might showcase Ron Paul's unique ideas in contrast to the echo-chamber of ideas that are the other candidates.

DETAILS FOR THE TOWN HALL:

Monday, November 7, 2011 from 6-9 PM Eastern

Bill O'Reilly's Presidential Town Hall is a three-hour radio exclusive town hall even featuring current Republican presidential hopefuls facing hard-hitting questions from America's favorite cable news host.

Listeners from across the country will also have the opportunity to cast their vote in a LIVE online straw poll on BillOReilly.com.

LOCAL MARKETS, STATIONS, AND AIRTIMES TO HEAR THE TOWN HALL:

UPDATE: I've fixed the table to the left. However, some data may change or is still TBA. Also, as I typed the info in, I did find a few typos from O'Reilly's webpage; so be sure to check your local markets and let me know if I need to correct any info in this master table.

This should be fun and the questions will be hard. Do people still listen to this show?

I think we all know how O'Reilly feels about Dr. Paul. Do not expect too much from this effort.

O'Reilly is such a blowhard egotistical neocon moron. It is always all about him and his interrupting the other speaker.

Whatever. I hope Ron is feeling well. Sorry, I don't know how to fix that, maybe someone else will.

Any pictures from St Cloud yet?

Last night BillO was saying they were gonna mention the straw poll results on air, so this might have some benefit to it after all. However, there's obviously no guarantee that Ron will get his fair share of time but w/ 3 hrs of this he should get a decent amount.

I don't know. Three hours of his being treated like a marginal flake, since OReilly projects, madly, isn't necessarily a positive.

With other candidates, when their polls go up, media has them on in response.

With Ron, when his polls go up they ignore it and even pass over his name on the list to mention others. When his polls, as a result, go down, they have him on and paste the lower poll number on the screen.

This will be the biggest joke yet of the election season. I hope Ron is ready to handle Billo's dumbed down drivel, and ready to speak to a viewership who only understands said dumbed down drivel.

I really hope RP is ready to word things differently for this type of audience; they will not understand his point of view if he does not do so. This could be the make or break for the campaign, O'reilly gets nearly as many viewers as a single GOP debate.

This is the type of show where Ron Paul has to be a politician and not answer O'Reilly's questions. Instead just get the message he wants to deliver out to the viewers.

good luck with that. He thinks representatives are supposed to be responsive so voters have better information.

Yeah, radio. Seniors are more likely to be tuning in, so it's still critical that he change his wording. There was one article on Patch from about 1-2 months ago where they were reporting on RP speaking at a town hall event in new hampshire. He was speaking to a group of seniors (not his usual voting block) and some were a little hostile toward him until he started wording his foreign policy in a way that they could sympathize with. I thought he could have done much better, but it's still worth watching. If he stopped centering his argument around the soviet union, empire, and occupation and instead gravitated toward the need to defend this country and our borders, we would definitely skyrocket after herman cain is done.

bump for Liberty.

Don't forget to check the corrected chart in the first post of this thread to schedule and plan your live listening to the Presidential Town Hall. We need to listen LIVE because there will also be a LIVE straw poll. They want to ensure the straw poll won't be manipulated by non-listeners.

Also, this is start of the most important week in the Ron Paul campaign thus far. Voters who are looking for an alternative to Romney are now also looking for an alternative to Herman Cain and Rick Perry. This week Ron is on Fox News Sunday, the O'Reilly Town Hall Monday, the CNBC Debate Wednesday, and the SupportThemNow Moneybomb Friday. If the week is ultra-successful and Ron can step out from the pack, then he'll be able to carry that momentum and subsequent strong polling through the New Year into the Iowa caucus.

After this week, voters will begin to check out of the political process until after Iowa, simply because most voters will begin prepping for Thanksgiving then indulging their holiday mindset through Christmas, Hanukkah, [insert whatever other end of year spiritual celebration you'd like], and the New Year. Therefore, whoever gets the momentum this week will likely hold on to that momentum until Iowa.

Let's all make our New Year's resolution early and help Ron Paul push through the pack NOW, this week! We don't want any other "surprise" candidate (I'm looking at you, Gingrich) to rise up and steal frontrunner-type momentum during this critical week before holiday time.

Hi, I think I found the right link on the O Reilly website!

It started with Huntsman (I think, talking about his jon2012 site and O Reilly mentioning global warming)
now it's a Heritage Foundation ad about 4 minutes into the streaming audio

is this the right link, starting from 6 pm? It seemed to start at a random point, like maybe they had a 6-9 pm airing and a 9-midnight repeat that I'm getting into the middle of.

We owe O'Reilly absolutely nothing. He was stupid enough to finally give Dr. Paul the opportunity to clarify his position on marque and reprisal. Dr. Paul repeated what he has said many times before.

It was a miracle that Dr. Paul was even allowed to finish a few of his sentences as O"Neoconly continually interrupted him. It is always about O"Neocon.

No one owes O'Reilly anything for DOING HIS DAMN JOB!!!!!" :)
