The only candidate that is going to "keep" him employed is him. But at face value, he sounds like a socialist. If he "needs" something given to him, then I hear Obama is handing out QE's EUI checks, once you get laid off from Mcdonald's as the fry guy first. I think he is worried that candidates like Ron Paul would cut military spending and he might lose his job. That's why I pointed out that if the war ends, military spending will be cut no matter what. Unless he is suggesting he would vote for someone who wants to continue the war in order to justify keeping a large military... honestly I have no idea what he is trying to say.

Basically, GAO data shows that by 2040 every $ the federal govt. collects will go towards Social Security, Medicare, and interest on the national debt - there will be no money left for defense (ask your Marine friend what he thinks of that). The cuts have to happen NOW, including military cuts, or we will all be defenseless tax slaves living in a nation no longer worth defending.

When someone says they'll vote for whoever supports the government's continued payouts (and I'm not equating payouts with handouts here - military service justifies compensation), what they're really saying is "Whoever will make every American a tax slave by 2040 will get my vote".
