The commission also released criteria through which a third party candidate could make his or her way onstage in the debates. In order for a third party candidate to qualify, they would have to be constitutionally eligible, score above 15 percent in recognized national polls, and qualify to appear on enough ballots to conceivably win a majority of votes in the Electoral College.

So when Ron is the nominee, they can push Trump so that he can appear at the debates.

Ron could easily have 15% in the polls as a 3rd party candidate. Just sayin'.

Well, if it comes to this, he should be eligible. Then Ron can make those two look like fools.

We already know how they can manipulate polls.

Yeah, but it's still good to know, just in case Ron decides to take that route if he isn't the nominee.

STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT! He's not running third party, and to even discuss his options loses him votes.

It's good to know Obama is ineligible to participate in the debates....

Not necessarily.

I keep hearing about "they" and how "they" keep running new candidates to stop Ron Paul. I just consider it the normal election cycle myself.

The polls vary widely and when Ron went up they switched to much more 'GOP core' type definitions of the polled population. It could have been coincidence, or their trying to work out who would go to the polls this time, but it impacted Ron's numbers because of how he polls. My opinion is that it wasn't accidental. You are free to have your own opinion, of course.

All these zany threads are why he tried to quell a third party run in the beginning.
