John Adams, Ben franklin, Thomas Jefferson etc. Would more americans vote for them than say Ron Paul?

The reason I ask this is because Ron Paul reminds me as the person closest to the founders ideals but the founders are more revered.
So would anyone of the founders have a shot of getting nominated and or winning against Obama?

I know a hypothetical with no real relevance but an interesting thought.

Thanks for any opinions.

They would be treated the same way as Ron is, if they were unknown.

If the founders were alive today I don't think people would be endorsing them. Not because a small base would disagree but they would be too busy on the campaign trail for Ron Paul to even think about running themselves.

If the Anti-Federalists were alive today....there would probably be another Revolutionary War. I don't see the likes of Patrick Henry advocating a non-violent revolution for sure, and surely not Samuel Adams either.

They would be now what they were then: Underground revolutionaries.

George Washington would C R U S H ---~> obama in an election. He would probably try to duel Obama before that. Once Washington discovered that Obama wants to restrict gun ownership and he needs a permit to carry a gun he would turn it into a boxing match. One hit KO!

They would be smeared by the SPLC and the media, very likely infiltrated by the FBI and arrested as Domestic Terrorists after recordings of anti-government conversations were made.

They would be labeled "terrorists" and hunted down by the authorities.

Pretty much the same thing that happened to them 235 years ago.

Ben would have a late night talk show with lots of Hollywood starlets on it. Sam would be in a massive lawsuit with Sam Adams Brewery for using his name and not giving him a dime. This would lead to massive hem and haw threads by the ancap/anti IP crowd. Thomas would have been growing fine sinse and opted out of all the political bullshit, grew his hair down to his ass and left his beard untrimmed, but would be a best selling author. John would have a reality TV show called "The Adams Family".

Guantanimo first, then probably set loose somewhere in the middle east so that they can be bombed by a predator.

They would be treated exactly the same way that Ron Paul is being treated.

Anti-Federalists are only outcasts in a Federalist society.

Well these would be quite inappropriate but accurate assessments:
Besides the founders asking how Obama became a president?

Thomas Jefferson would probably not do or say anything in fear of the majority ,he would leave quietly to a different country.
Ben Franklin would probably be in las vegas working out his rule of 72 equation on gambling and chillin with the women
John Adams would probably defend Eric Holder if Eric Holder were ever put on trial
George Washington would be fighting crocodiles in Florida
Alexander Hamilton would be a lobbyist
Samuel Adams would be an oathkeeper
John Quincy Adams would make mutton chops popular again(for a short while)
John Hancock would be wishing he didn't allow shays rebellion to take place...which led to the ratification of a federalist government document

thanks for all of the comments.
For the most part people make it seem like the founders wouldn't have too much to do with today's politics even if they were here.
