Herman Cain has raised more than $3 million in the month of October, campaign strategist Mark Block told CNN.

"It’s over $3 million," Block said in an interview with Erin Burnett. "We’re well over 65,000 [donors.] So we’ve actually doubled in little over a month. That’s what we’re seeing in our grassroots activism growth and obviously in the YouTube thing."

The "YouTube thing" refers, of course, to this.

Cain's $3 million intake is more than he raised in the whole third quarter of the year, and gives him resources to spring for paid media and step up his presence in the early primary states. If he wants to do that at some point.

Cain: 3 million in a month = big news, apparently, somehow.

Paul: over 2 million in a day on October 19th = no articles.

Yeah, I saw this on CNN last night and thought, "If this is all the new frontrunner is capable of after getting his own personal newsgasm, I'm not all that worried about him!"

Honestly, I think he's lying. He said the same thing in September and look how much he raised then. And I do not buy the 65,000 donors things. If ROMNEY can't even do that at times, then Cain has no chance.

I'm not believeing this. With hardly any ground game anywhere, apparently a bunch of comedians for a marketing dept, I just don't see how this is possible. Once again, the media blacks out Paul, he raises just about that much in a few days, it takes Cain a whole month and it's newsworthy. Can't wait for the media to start turning on Cain.

Well I guess this puts to rest that Cain has no money and his campaign is imploding.

Probably 2.5 million in book sales and 500,000 from Tobacco execs for that live advertisement to millions.

Cain’s book has sold 17,910 copies in its first two weeks on sale

It might mean that he has the money, but in no way does he a have a well oiled campaign going on. It seems that he's trying to be everywhere but the early voting states for some strange reason.

I can only begin to imagine what the media would've said (other than a blackout) if RP had a video prominently featuring a smoker. They would've had a field day. Cain gets kudos for his 'going against the bias of conventional wisdom'.

and $3M in a month? news?

ugh.

I did not raise 3 million dollars, I was mispoke, I was just kidding. Wait for it.

That's going to be a wasted $5 mill then. How can anyone seriously believe anything this man says? He gave a big foreign policy speech at a fricking DOG TRACK! I don't know why Rush is so scared that Ron Paul will destroy the Republican party, put Herman Cain in office and he'll be such a disaster that the Republicans will be set back decades. They could go with Ron Paul who would immortalize the Republicans as the party that pulled America out of the hole, but too many "connected" people would lose out. Damn the country, they have to get theirs.
