View Full Version : The Christian Malazarte Challenge!

okay so it's not really a challenge... and it makes no sense whatsoever.. anyways..
Have you ever wanted to make a video about Ron Paul but don't know how? have something important you want to tell people? Can you write a short essay about it?
The reason I wanted to do this is because I'm very new to campaigning and politics (around 2 months). So I won't know half the stuff I'm talking about on videos, I have to research it, read opinions, etc. (takes too long!). And that's the reason I haven't done a lot of "factual" videos, or videos that prove a point. And that's what I want to do now.
You write it and I'll create a video for it! You don't have to worry about video editing and stuff like that, you just write. If you want to skip the essay, write a one minute dialogue that can be voice-over'd.
How to Write an Effective Essay:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWqMQ26Gqi4
What I want to make:
- any topic that will help Ron Paul win! and I mean... anything...
- preferably short 1 minute ads
there's two caveats tho:
- I can't guarantee that all essays will be made into video. But if the essay is good you can bet that it will be made.
- I might need to edit or only use parts of it. But I will work with you if changes are needed.

Can or are you willing to do something longer? I have so many ideas. I drive full van loads of people to the airport every day and I drive troops to military bases and have acquired over the years between that and being very active in political discussion forums a very effective rant. I know my stuff like not too many other people. I come across lawyers, doctors, professers who haven't yet learned what I've forgotten. I'm not saying this to you in order to blow my own horn but people tell me every day that I have a gift and, or that I should be teaching. I amaze people with the stuff that I can convey and the way I can convey it. I can answer most arguments put before me and I win people over to Ron Paul EVERY DAY. I just wish I could reach a wider audience and lately I have been thinking about trying to make my own videos to hand out but technology isn't one of my gifts. Memory, convergent thought and discernment are my gifts so I would LOVE to hook up with someone who can collaborate with me to fabricate winning videos to win this election. The real challenge would be making it just a minute. Maybe my "essay" could be a video recording of a rant on a given topic that I could send to you. But trust me. You and I don't want to use my voice. lol

heck yeah!
if there's lots of stuff to cover yeah we can make a longer video. maybe even break it up into sections or definite topics. I think you write well enough to me. The problem with audio recording--altho a really good idea; is that I have to transcribe it to text, and that adds a lot more work for me. I would have to build the essay from your audio and that would mean that I would be writing the essay, which is okay I guess.
But I would rather have someone lay it out with an introduction (what you want to say to the world), a body (your proof supporting what you say is correct), a closing (the culmination of everything you said). It doesn't have to be an artistic writing. Just say it in plain english if you want to.
This is why I wanted to do this. because I'm new to all this and to politics so I don't know what things are going to convince people.
I swear if things were laid out to me in writing I can produce videos one after another after another...
this is a pretty good video on how to narrow down your essay, so that you're not all over the place: "start with a question":

Chainspell, LOVE your videos. They're awesome. At the risk of going off topic, if you ever create a new video, I'd love it if you could PM me the script so I could add captions to them. I've captioned two of your works already, and am interested in subbing the "Cain vs. Paul on the Fed video" if you had the script. Now, back to the thread at hand...
I have always written scripts for the videos I have made. My philosophy is generally to try to use the mouthpieces associated with the "left" or the "right" to prove my point and hammer home a message. My problem is with the technical stuff like adding text and with normalizing audio, things of that nature. Here are the videos that I personally made from all the material out there. Most of them are geared towards Independents and the "left', which is where I started off politically. Feel free to enhance, modify or expand on any of the themes. The one thing all of the videos have is that there is no music unless it came directly from the videos I used, because I am Deaf and do not want to risk putting crappy music up that doesn't fit with the video itself.
I personally think that if you could update "Ron Paul's Transition Plan" into a shorter and much snazzier version, the message would hit home HARD and convert a lot of people.
Ron Paul's Transition Plan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3iK6Hy6xMA) - This one is something that I think could really hammer home the message if updated and spruced up.
An Appeal To The Left (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-dFVQoCbnE) - I'm most proud of this one, but some complained about the length.
Got Liberty (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuWvFoqWdCU) - Botched the text stuff and it was way too long.
"I Have A Dream" - Comparing Ron Paul And Martin Luther King, Jr. (http://dotsub.com/view/59da5dd0-51ea-4de1-8cf6-c2ab13a7e696) - Banned on YouTube (MLK Speech is copyrighted)
Is Ron Paul Too Old? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJDuQiQjABo) - (Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Konrad Adenauer, Charles de Gaulle, RFK cameos) - Crappy quality, but if modified, I think the Gandhi and RFK analogies would be really powerful. Viral through the roof potential if condensed into 90-seconds or so.
Ron Paul Blasts Corporatism (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwwXgPiySto) - OccupyWallStreet "education" video on what is really going on, using Arianna Huffington and others to support Paul's case.
The War On Drugs: Ron Paul versus Barack Obama (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKYmWVDyM5c)

let's start with this. I don't get why the title is called transition plan? what's the message of the video? I have it on my editing table now.
it sounds like foreign policy
okay first half is foreign policy then second half is the transition plan.

People think Ron Paul is a huge radical who will change things overnight, abolish Social Security, etc, etc. The message I think needs to be sent is the urgency of the situation and that Ron Paul is the only one with a plan to actually SAVE social security, tide over the poor and elderly, etc. rather than having us run out of money and having ALL of us out on the streets. People need to understand that we are running out of time, and the only man telling us we need to detox off the credit addiction is Ron Paul. The rest of them are only going to lead to overdoses and likely fatalities in the long run.
(That gave me an idea on a reel of newsclips featuring the various bailouts and stimuluses, one after the other, with the sequence in "Requiem For A Dream" that was used every time they shot up heroin being used right after a short clip of each of the announcements by both the Bush and Obama administrations - - Another video for another time, perhaps)
My forté is proofreading. When I see videos with misspellings and improper/missing punctuation in the captions, I cringe and wish I had been able to make the needed corrections BEFORE the clip was uploaded. It seems almost no one can spell or punctuate correctly anymore - even folks who are sure they know how (and you CANNOT count on spell-checkers because there are way too many homonyms in the English language). So please feel free to send me any scripts or text for annotations, and I'll fix them and send them back right away!

We need a video that will convince the people that Ron Paul is determined to smash the lying Globalist/Zionist Media into oblivion. We need a video that shows that Ron Paul is absolutely committed to creating NEW TV Channels that completely honors FREEDOM OF SPEECH no matter how politically incorrect it is!
If you could create this video and get Ron Paul to say that he approves of this message, this would be HUGE!!! All the people really want is the opportunity to tell their story on National Television. If Ron Paul were to promise the creation of NEW TV Stations which were not Zionist controlled and did not bow before Political Correctness he would win the Presidency by a land slide. If Ron Paul could only do one thing for me, it would be the creation of at least 5 new Television stations which tell the full truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. We all know that Ron Paul hates the controlled media, so this goal and project should be achievable. :)

Ok, here goes. If you could make a video based on the premise of a blog post I made a few years ago, that would be cool (minus the Dennis Kucinich stuff).
http://deafronpaul.blogspot.com/2009/09/hypocrisy-of-left-and-right.html (http://deafronpaul.blogspot.com/2009/09/hypocrisy-of-left-and-right.html)
*******************
The hypocrisy of both the Left AND the Right is in full swing.
"1,000 page bills are being rammed through Congress that no one has read! They include 300 page amendments added at the last minute!" says the Left to the Right during the Bush 43 reign and following the passage of the Patriot Act. "1,000-page bills are being rammed through Congress that no one has read! They include 300 page amendments added at the last minute!" says the Right to the Left in 2009 following the passage of Cap-And-Trade through the House.
Bush 41 gives a School Speech in 1991 and the Left is furious! Obama gives a School Speech in 2009 and the Right is furious!
The Democrats heckle Bush 43 at his State of the Union speech in 2005, and the Right is furious! A Republican heckles Obama at his State of the Union speech in 2009, and the Left is furious!
The Left are furious about torture at Gitmo. Yet, very little is now said about Bagram being the new Gitmo.
The Left during Bush 43 back Cindy Sheehan and say "No More WARS!". When Obama becomes President, Cindy Sheehan is discarded to the side and those on the left are now saying "we need to be in Afghanistan!".
The Right in 1996 say "We need to reduce the size of Government". Then they go out and double the size of the Department of Education!
"Why do the Democrats hate America?" says the Right to the Left in 2004 after the Left criticizes Bush 43. "Why do the Republicans hate America?" says the Left to the Right in 2009 after the Right criticizes Obama.
Both sides are being hypocrites. But both sides are being plucked like the strings of a guitar via soundbites from the Mainstream Media Shills (O'Reilly, Matthews, Hannity, Schultz, etc.) and are too busy sniping at each other while the Corporations/Special Interests/Bankers that OWN the Mainstream Media (pot stirrers extraordinaire!) and virtually all of the Congressmen/women and Senators are laughing hysterically because the status quo never changes from one administration to the next. No REAL fundamental change is occuring in this country!
Ron Paul vs. Dennis Kucinich for the Presidency in 2012 would represent the first true "We The People" election in decades! Regardless of how one feels about either of the two candidates, very few people doubt that both are speaking truth to power and that both represent real fundamental changes in our country. So the question I have becomes: Does America really want change? Or do we want a mild tweaking of the status quo every four years? I, for one, am SICK of anything resembling the status quo. I close this post with a photoshop of the last 4 U.S. Presidents morphed together into one (Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, Obama). Nothing truly significant really changes from one administration to the next. It's time the American people woke up and realized this.
*************
Something like this, juxtaposed with Ron Paul being consistently on the right side of the issue no matter which party is in office. The actual blog has video links to the various statements made above exposing the hypocrisy. Does this help ?

How about something like this?
- footage of Oliver North testifying about Iran Contra

- Ron Paul speaks out against the Iraq war in the 1990s
- Candidate Bill Clinton at debates talking about something peaceful foreign policy wise
- POTUS Clinton speaks from the podium about Serbia and Sudan
- Madeline Albright (Clinton's secretary of state) interview where she says it is OK that a million Iraqis die from sanctions

- Bush 43 going into Afghanistan
- Ron Paul agreeing to it, but saying we should use Letters of Marque and Reprisal
- Future interview of Ron Paul that best summarizes his position on going after bin Laden after 9/11
- Bush 43 speaking from the podium about war with Iraq
- Colin Powell speech to UN and nuclear weapons
- Ron Paul telling Bill Moyer in 2002 that that its a stretch that Saddam is suddenly the hitler of the middle east with nuclear weapons and that they are no threat to us
- Bush 43 and Libya agreement in 2005 (newscasts)
- Ron Paul on house floor decrying agreement with Gaddafhi and our foreign policy ridiculousness
- Candidate Obama on the wars and bringing the troops home
- Candidate Obama on executive orders
- Candidate Obama on the Patriot Act
- President Obama stumbling under questioning from press (Helen Thomas, etc) about wars
- Obama expanding troops in Afghanistan
- Ron Paul on Time Magazine interview on Obama being more dangerous than bush because he "has quieted down the anti-war left... the anti-war left has just left!"
- Bush 43 news cast summary of agreement to leave Iraq by Dec of 2011
- Newscast of Obama adm. trying to stay in Iraq longer and essentially being kicked out
- Obama on podium claiming Iraq war is over and he is bringing the troops home.
Final summary of Ron Paul saying "What if our foreign policy never really changes from one adminstration to the next?"
