Santorum: Ron Paul nomination would give him 'indigestion'
By Daniel Strauss - 10/23/11 11:28 AM ET

Republican presidential candidate former Sen. Rick Santorum (Pa.) would support any member of the GOP presidential field that won the 2012 nomination but Rep. Ron Paul (Texas) might give him some 'indigestion.'

"I'd support anybody in the Republican field, I mean Ron Paul would give me a little indigestion, I'd have to take some antacids on foreign policy but other than that —no, look they're far superior in many other ways than this president," Santorum said Sunday to Bob Scheiffer on CBS's Face the Nation. "But there's a better candidate out in the field Bob and you're talking to him this morning."

I'd support anybody in the Republican field

And we will not.

Therefore, mainline GOP, if you do not want another four years of Obama, you had damn well better get behind Paul and make sure he is the 2012 nominee.

Without us, you lose.

No One But Paul

To me, saying any republican is better than Obama, is like saying it be better to have four of my teeth pulled than five....

Look at the bright side. This is a huge improvement from him saying he wouldn't support him at all a few months ago.

Believe me, despite the reality of the situation you described, stating such seems to make people work harder to keep Ron from winning.

There was already a thread on this in the other forum so I moved it to opposing candidates.

I'd guess it's at a Straw Poll, and instead of having a stand-in, he made a video address to his 3 supporters.

He got 0.93% of the vote. It's kinda sad given the video. Cain had one too, but at least Cain got 25% of the vote, ish. Ron cleaned his clock, though.

Rick Santorum one day will be convinced on foreign policy. He's coming around faster than a certain former mayor of New York City.

No way any major Republican candidate would have said this in 08. Just sayin.

Too bad he's pretty irrelevant, but atleast he feels more genuine than most of the other GOP candidates.

No doubt. I even heard Bachmann saying today that she would shut down Dept of Energy, EPA, Dept of Educ and a couple others... They are outright stealing his ideas, and I couldn't be happier :) The more they tout their swing toward our position the better it makes Ron look as the Big Daddy of them all.

Have any MAJOR Republican candidates said it this year?
