The Anderson County Republican Party is hosting the East Tennessee Republican Presidential Straw Poll. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 25th at the Pollard Center from 5 till 9 PM. The event is open to all Tennessee residents.

This event will also serve as a candidate expo for Republican candidates for local and state offices.Those candidates, officeholders, or supporters of any Presidential candidate, who wish to set up an information booth, are asked to contact the Anderson County Republican Party to reserve a spot. Booth locations will be made available upon request with a limit of one per candidate.

There is no cost to attend the expo. A minimal fee of $5, however, is required to participate in the straw poll with those funds going to pay for the event.

Herman Cain with 59%, Ron Paul with 16%, Mitt Romney with 11%, Michele Bachmann with 5%, Newt Gingrich with 4%, Rick Perry with 3%, Rick Santorum with 1%, and Jon Huntsman with 1%.

So since Herman Cain is gone, is that now a victory for Ron Paul? I was a Cainite who jumped in with both feet for Paul after Cain got out.
