For real? I hope it's in the studio, and not over Skype or something LOL. MTP is usually pretty tough, so I hope Ron's ready.

Ahh yes, that is some good news. Has he been on meet the press since the last election? Before Tim Russert died?

Meet The Press used to he important but I don't think anybody really watches it anymore, do they?

Aratus

do not ignor the swingstate straw poll at OSU this saturday! if he's top three or better
he can EASILY bring up LA + VVS again! this interview could 100% shatter the blackout!

Ron's been on Meet the Press before. Him and Russert got into the 19th century and I recall Ron name-dropping Lysander Spooner. Certainly not a POTUS candidate interview. My guess is David Gregory will try and beat him up like Russert did.

I think you're on to something. I think we should have a traditional pre-interview mini-bomb ready and waiting...IF they treat him unfairly. That way, it'll be a win-win no matter what happens! It would certainly make me feel better about him going on these shows.

From the MTP site:
Our Meet The Candidates series continues with Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul. Can the Texas congressman break out of the pack? Where does he stand on the important issues facing our country?

Lol!

I clicked on their link to the MTP and a "MTP Take Two" Gingrich auto vid starts playing. A sign of things to come?

After the Paul episode airs, I wonder if Paul will get a "MTP Take Two" auto vid.

Gregory's problem might be that he is nowhere near as capable as Tim.

Guys, you wanna be POTUS, this is one of the rites of passage. It is an extremely influential program, and will, for good or ill, generate all types of free media for the campaign next week.

So, Dr. Paul, make sure you eat your Wheaties, sir...

Eat your Wheaties and go kick ass like you did in Vegas. Do nothing but push your new plan and bring up how everyone else supported TARP, how 999 sucks, how Romney is a moron, and Perry just looks like an engorged penis.

Do some prep! Keep composure no matter what.

No doubt!

Definitely he's got it, he's been playing this game longer than most of us have been alive! My "It's a Trap" message is for the rest of us. Don't expect a game of pitch-and-toss - expect a duel. It won't be friendly, but truth will out!

I've gotten a secret advance copy of MTP's questions:

1. Congressman, if you're really a doctor, why did you start chanting "LET HIM DIE" at a recent debate?

2. Congressman, now that Osama Bin Laden is dead, who provides your marching orders?

3. Congressman, can you please explain how you will protect America from Iran's 500 nuclear weapons with your fake eyebrows?

4. Congressman, please rank the following by the amount of hatred you harbor for each: women, children, Jews, Blacks.

5. Congressman, you're 76 years old - isn't it time for you to just die?

Then why didn't he go on Bill O's show to knock it out of park?

Well, in the case of BillO, there is no chance for the interviewee to get a word in edge-wise. Why even bother?

This is good as it will hit the 45+ age range that are currently swaying between Paul/Romney/Cain/Perry.

Well, in the case of BillO, there is no chance for the interviewee to get a word in edge-wise. Why even bother?Exactly. Tough questions and bias are one thing, being constantly cut off and having your good points blown off and and not addressed is another. O'Reilly gives a guest 5 minutes and he does most of the talking, where MTP devotes a lot more time to their guests.

Prep is the key.

Because Bill O'Reilly is rude. Such rudeness should not be rewarded.

MTP will be tough, even advesarial, but will afford Dr. Paul every courtesy and every opportunity to explain his answers. Far more than he could expect of O'Reilly.

If O'Reilly wants him, give him the same courtesy he gives Obama... an hour sit down, outside the studio. Bill can have the final edit, but the campaign gets the raw footage.

Kords21
10-22-2011, 03:21 PM
Dr. Paul is going to shoot down every "gotcha question" from David Gregory with ease. This will only help Dr. Paul, it'll be a nice contrast to that disaster of an appearance that Cain had on that show.

I hope Ron has done a lot of prep. Their goal will be to turn it into a hit piece to "expose his crazy outlandish" ideas. He needs to be on his game! A show stopping performance on MTP could really help our growing momentum!

Just found out Hillary Clinton will also be on Meet the Press. This is going to be a ratings bonzanza for CBS Sunday morning with half of the show being with the Secretary of State and the other half being with Ron friggin Paul.

Stellar interview! Paul does so much better with 1-on-1 than with large gatherings because he gives very personable answers. Paul kung-fu'ed that interviewer.
