Today made me think of Harry Browne, too.

I recall Harry Browne, after one of his two runs, said that he thought that an LP run would need at least $5 million in contributions to run a first class campaign. That would have been either in 1996 or in 2000. I believe Ron Paul has already surpassed that in total donations this campaign, even if you factor in inflation. Rest in peace, Harry Browne.

I chose my screen name because Harry Browne introduced me to libertarianism with his 1996 campaign. I'm sure a lot of other people are here and supporting Ron Paul because of him, too. I wish he had lived to see this day. God bless you, Harry.

I was converted to Libertarianism after seeing Harry Browne give his acceptance speech when receiving the Libertarian Party nomination in 1996- just happened to catch it while channel surfing.

My dad introduced me to Libertarianism by showing me the article "When will we learn?" by Harry Browne. It was only days after September 11 and it changed my perspective of politics from that day forth.

Harry Browne did a darn good job in his runs for presidency, given all of the limitations he was faced with regarding media blackouts and low campaign budget.

umm, Who is Harry Browne?

LP Candidate for pres in '96 and 2000. He'd definitely be as proud as we will be tomorrow when we get the final total.

If you want to understand RP's positions in a fun to read prose pick up "The Great Libertarian Offer" and "Why Government Doesn't Work."
