SIRTE, Libya (Reuters) - Former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi died of wounds suffered in his capture near his hometown of Sirte on Thursday, a senior NTC military official said.

National Transitional Council official Abdel Majid Mlegta told Reuters earlier that Gaddafi was captured and wounded in both legs at dawn on Thursday as he tried to flee in a convoy which NATO warplanes attacked.

"He was also hit in his head," the official said. "There was a lot of firing against his group and he died."

There was no independent confirmation of his remarks.

Rumours are circulating with once again European and American leaders misinforming the public, and the usual media culprits Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabia broadcasting the occupation NTC (National Terrorist Council) claim of the capture or death of Muammar Qaddafi.
Green Committees have confirmed that the leader is alive, and that the enemy is seeking to take advantage of his being currently out of communications. The aim is to please Hillary Clinton who barked at her Arab slaves that she wants Muammar Qaddafi “dead or alive.”

The analysts who are close to the Libyan leader have told Mathaba that the aim of the rumours is several fold. On the one hand, they wish to demoralize the Libyan resistance which has held out for over 7 months against the strongest terrorists and invading armies in the world. On the other hand, they wish to thus lure the Leader out to make a call in order to attempt to get a fix on his location.

This entire conflict has been a propaganda battle since day 1. I certainly don't trust the MSM to tell the truth but nor do I trust Gaddafi loyalists to do the same. The pictures resemble Gaddafi but I wouldn't say they are conclusive. Like all dictators he surely had a couple of body doubles at his disposal. I wouldn't put it past Gaddafi to fake his own death at this point just to try to slip out of the country unnoticed (he's dead after all, who's looking for him still?). Also like other dictators he surely has a nice little island set up somewhere off the Atlantic coast of Africa with a safe house or a spot in a friendly country to live out the rest of his days. Once the battle appears lost it's possible he would craft his exit plan which includes a tip-off of where "his" convoy will be on Oct 20.

And now the fun really starts as we pay to rebuild Libya for the benefit of the oil companies and the central bankers. A ginormous US Embassy is probably already under construction and will be the jump off point for AFRICOM operations aimed at raping Africans of their resources.

The corporate media is going into paroxysms over the supposed death of Muammar Gaddafi without much evidence beyond a couple blurry video captures taken from a cell phone.

So far, there has been zero independent verification of the claim. The NTC – otherwise known as al-Qaeda – said earlier today it has whisked off the body to a secret location for “security reasons.”

Despite the lack of evidence, the corporate media is now accepting Gaddafi’s death as fact. This is the same media that accepted the unconfirmed death of Osama bin Laden and told us Saddam had aluminum tubes of mass destruction.

Meanwhile, as the corporate media parades the morbid image and celebrates murder, the Green Charter Movement in Jamahiriya claims Gaddafi is alive. From Gaddafi’s very own propaganda outlet, the Mathaba News Agency:

Green Committees have confirmed that the leader is alive, and that the enemy is seeking to take advantage of his being currently out of communications. The aim is to please Hillary Clinton who barked at her Arab slaves that she wants Muammar Qaddafi “dead or alive.”

Mathaba claims “NATO and Clinton are desperate to show a ‘victory’ in Libya, by way of a compliant media, and the NTC is anxious to provide that ‘victory’ for their masters, in order to secure further support.

The NTC leaders and their factions are all fighting amongst each other, and are dissatisfied with the spoils, which so far have not been forthcoming due to the armed population putting up a fierce resistance, and the globalist bankers being unable to keep their promises to the Libyan traitors.”

Minus any evidence either way, this makes as much sense as al-Qaeda’s boast that it captured Gaddafi and he died as a result of wounds suffered as a result of a NATO assault on his convoy attempting to flee the heavily damaged city of Sirte.

Gaddafi’s body will probably never be offered by NTC-Qaeda for independent verification. In the days ahead, the government and the establishment media will declare victory, Clinton and Obama will make speeches, and Libya will descend into chaos because, as Rumsfeld said about Iraq, “democracy is messy.”

UPDATE 1-Gaddafi son Saif fleeing towards Niger - NTC officer Fri Oct 21, 2011 11:18am GMT

LONDON Oct 21 (Reuters) - Muammar Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam is fleeing south from Sirte towards Libya's border with Niger, a senior military commander of the interim National Transitional Council (NTC) said on Friday.


Abdul Majid Mlegta told Reuters that Islam was believed to travelling in a convoy of three armoured vehicles to try to escape NTC forces that overran Sirte on Thursday and killed his father, Libya's deposed former ruler.


"We are searching for him. The fighters in the region are on full alert," Mlegta said.

Gaddafi was captured alive in his hometown of Sirte on Thursday but died later while in the hands of fighters in circumstances that are still not clear. Islam is believed to have fled Sirte at about the same time.


Dozens of Gaddafi loyalists, including one of his sons Saadi, fled to Niger in September and are being sheltered in Niamey.
Niger has resisted appeals for them to be handed over to Libya's new rulers, saying Tripoli could send investigators if it wanted to question them.
Megta said that in recent days Gaddafi's security chief Abdullah al-Senussi, believed to be hiding in Niger, had been trying to organise some form of safe passage from Sirte to Niger for Gaddafi's entourage.
On Thursday Niger's foreign minister Mohammed Bazoum said he had been informed by Western countries that Senussi had fled across the border into the far north of Niger.

Senussi is wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.
The brother-in-law of the former Libyan leader, who was killed on Thursday, Senussi has been accused of ordering the murder and persecution of civilians throughout Libya during the collapse of Gaddafi's 42-year rule this year.


"It seems that he is in the extreme north of Niger. It is the Western countries which have informed us," Bazoum told Reuters by telephone from Niger.
International police agency Interpol on Thursday appealed for Islam to turn himself in, offering to guarantee his safe passage to The Hague to face charges of crimes against humanity.

No one, especially not Obama, needs to declare Qaddafi dead, for the rebel “TNC” so-called Transitional National Council (or what is left of it, less than a dozen people), said it is so, and Jazeera and Al-Arabiya as well as PRESS TV and Russia Today echoed the “news” as fact.

Problem is, he is also not dead. Not only because he was not captured and not killed, as reported elsewhere here from reliable sources, but because he already lives in the hearts of millions. And this now brings us to the next point, as to in which ways Qaddafi is dead or alive, and, whether and how much it matters.

Qaddafi is alive. It matters, because NATO has thus not won the war, and not even won their first “easy” objective. It matters because some people need a leader and won’t operate without that leader: the large numbers of volunteers converging on Libya from around Africa, are not all going there for reasons of defending Libya, Libyans, or even Africa, but because of their love, appreciation and solidarity for Qaddafi and wanting to help him as the “Brother Leader”.

Yet, even though Qaddafi did not die and most people still have not woken up to the fact that we live in a digital world where all images, videos, and sound, can easily be forged – not only by easily available commercial image and sound manipulation software, but by military grade programs and super-computers.

People have not woken up to the fact that the very “main stream” media they have come to rely on, as well as their political leaders, have less education, less common sense, and less experience, than one would expect, and thus are also easily misled.

But one day, Qaddafi will die, and in that sense is already dead, as the rest of us are too. However, he has lived to see his philosophy actually put into practice, something very few philosophers in the world have ever had the privilege of. Sadly, he has also lived to see it destroyed; But not quite.

What has been destroyed, is Libya, but not the Jamahiriya: not the values, ideals, and democratic, economic and social relationships that have proven to be so strong as to withstand the world’s most powerful and brutal military forces for almost a year, and still hold out. And this has resulted in a great opportunity, as we shall see.
The entire world faces a cross-roads over the coming year, and we remember the New Yearmessage from Mathaba on 28th January 2011 saying that this would be the most important year ever:

Now, what is to be done, and what is Muammar to do? Actually, he has been trying to tell everyone who has been listening these past many months, a few key points and yet from what we see, it is not getting through to everyone, even those who are his fans around the world, and which we summarize here below:


* I am not the Libyan resistance, the Libyan resistance is the people. They will continue to fight, until NATO and all others against them, leave Libya. They will lay down their lives to defend their freedom, as will many of my own family. I live in their hearts, and in the hearts of millions.

* I am not the government of Libya, I do not hold any official government positions. I am a revolutionary. I am outside of power. Power rests with the Libyan people.

* I have spoken all my words, so many times, until I grew tired. “It is all there in the pages of The Green Book. Please read it and you will understand.”

* I have completed my work, I gave power, wealth and arms to the people, who possess it. I am just one man among millions in Libya.

* I brought to light the Third Universal Theory. It is as if mankind had become locked in a cave without sunlight, and forgotten what sun light looked like. I found the rusty keys on the floor, and put them in the lock. Thus all that is needed is to turn the key to come out into the sunlight again.

* The Green Book is a collection of truths, showing the way for solving the problems of power via democracy, wealth via socialism, and the social basis of the Third Universal Theory. As the farmer, I did not create the fruits, but picked them from the tree and placed them into a basket, The Green Book.

The above are an English language para-phrasing of some of the things he has said. During the current conflict he also gave clear advice:

* I will never give up on Libya, I will fight to the end, I will not run nor leave my home land.

* NATO will have to leave, they can never occupy Libya, they will never live in peace stealing our wealth.

* The (rebels) will not last one day without NATO, so they should make peace now while they have a chance.

* Do not trust the media, they will say I have said this or that, that I have died, or that I am here or there. They lie, and are easily manipulated, so do not trust them.

* No orders are needed, come out into the streets, clean the country from the rats until the green flag of freedom is flying everywhere again.

So, why does anyone need to hear from him yet again? What difference does it make if he is alive in freedom, or dies in freedom? Either way, is victory. Either way, is a motivation to those who love him. If he is alive, they are motivated, if he is martyred they are motivated.

Why are people avoiding getting on with the real work to hand, which is to, among other things:

* Study The Green Book and put it into practice, forming green charter committees everywhere and calling for people’s conferences.
* Organize and mobilize, hold rallies with green flags, videos, posters, t-shirts, or even travel to Africa to defend the Jamahiriya.
* Get out there and spread the truth, call others, wake them up, show them the evidence, recruit more members to the movement.
* Report your actions, submit rally, meeting, protest, or other reports and statements via pub.mathaba.net
* Network with others, using open source tools such as mathaba.info

The Green Charter Movement will soon be launching a wiki in addition on its web site, which will explain many of the concepts, definitions, and structures of the movement.

Remember, even though the Leader is at the time of this writing still very much alive in more ways than one, he does not need to speak: all has already been spoken and written, it is now up to us all to hear those calls and put them into practice, and then in future if the time is right and we have finally done something along the way of building a Universal Jamahiriya, he may choose to address us again. For now, let the enemies of freedom remain confused and fearful, while we move forward united and strong, and continue the green march to people’s power as a solution to the problems of corruption, exploitation, oppression, war, need and greed....

Its not a secret you are pro gadafi you are probably one of the students who got his loan`s to study in USA.

But his wife and daughter confirmed he was dead.And there was a video of his son drinking from a bottle of water and smoking a cigar in an apartment and then being shout in the neck and the chest.

Now it only remains if Saif al Islam and Khamiss can survive so to take back the country in 1 year or 2 when the rebels are weak from fighting each other

As the whole world accepts the demise of Muammar al-Gadhafi,
the Gadhafi’s remaining family return peacefully to a Tripoli (now under the Jamahiriya control of Saif) incognito; and the real Muammar retires as a quiet Imam in the historical mosque of Ghadames. Let peace be, he is a man of PEACE (not war); he has had enough of war. There, he will be writing his theories and essays which someday hopefully be put in practice. His son, will initiate a new Libya and clean-up the rogue al-Qaeda elements that helped destroy it in the first place….

I know. It all seemed so unreal, for so many months. Muammar, under this “guise” will not be with his family, and history books will tell the tale of him “dying” on 20 OCTOBER 2011. To live the rest of his days as a lie is not being a comfort to Muammar al-Gadhafi for sure; but at least no more terrible deaths and destruction by NATO….

But his wife and daughter confirmed he was dead.And there was a video of his son drinking from a bottle of water and smoking a cigar in an apartment and then being shout in the neck and the chest.

Now it only remains if Saif al Islam and Khamiss can survive so to take back the country in 1 year or 2 when the rebels are weak from fighting each other

IF you read my profile, you would know that I am CORSICAN, a senior of 64+ years; and yes, I espouse the THIRD UNIVERSAL THEORY---because, it is the only salvation for this sick planet.
If you would take time to dig deeper into who the real al-Gadafi is you would understand and not have your nasty, selfish attitude.
And no one "officially" confirmed anything yet--Only the corrupt Western media and governments.
Whomever it was that the RATS, NATO and Queen Hillary killed, it was a disgrace against humanity to do any such thing---much less to (if they really thought it was al-GADHAFI) a remarkably good, humble, caring man--who spent his whole life in the service of bettering humanity.
Please try to read his books, essays and speeches. You will be a better person if you did. This world needs good people...not greedy rats who now control things. President Barack Obama may need to reconsider his assertion that there would not be any American boots on the ground; leadership is hard to assert without a presence.

Experience suggests some guidelines, however. At the very least, the outside world should be prepared to send hundreds of military and police advisers. This assumes that elements loyal to the former regime mostly give up the fight, the rebels stay mostly united, and the population stays calm.

At the other end of the spectrum is an international force of several thousand troops, which seems a lot but which in fact is quite modest given Libya’s population (6m) and size. It is obviously costly and risky if we do that, but the only thing likely to be costlier and riskier is a Libya in which a government is not in control of its own territory.

Restoring order is not all that needs doing however. The challenge is to help create and support a functioning government. This means getting people back to their jobs and children to schools. Basic services, including electricity, food and water, need to be provided to the populace. Political participation should come, but later.

Libyan assets held in western financial institutions that were denied to the previous regime should be made available, but only on a conditional basis – when it is clear that the successor government is, in fact, a national entity, and is willing and able to protect and provide for its citizens. Otherwise, funds should be withheld until Libya reaches such a point.

It is up to Nato, the European Union and the UN, working with the Libyan opposition (http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/58c8250c-cc81-11e0-b923-00144feabdc0.html), the African Union and the Arab League, to put together a response to the new Libyan reality – a reality that includes 1m refugees, several hundred-thousand internally-displaced civilians and a country that before the unrest was producing some 1.6m barrels of oil a day.

All this will take years. But whatever the international response, speed is essential. The passage of time is unlikely to make the options any easier or more appealing.
