I'm not sure but I think if the event owner changes the title of a Facebook event it might notify everyone.

Might be a good idea for whoever's in charge to update the title to something like "Black This Out Money Bomb! -- HAPPENING NOW!" or periodically throughout the day to something like "Black This Out Money Bomb! -- $1 Million & Counting!"

I do believe they can send out a new invite, or a message to all attending as well!!!

This is an AMAZING idea. Some change needs to be made so people will be notified. Also, if this works, maybe 2-3 changes should be made throughout the day.

I'm pretty sure everybody who has not replied will be notified as well. That is currently 264,417!!!!

Awesome! I'll post a link to this in the Web Developers for Ron Paul FB group I think the people in charge of the page might belong to it.

Sorry, the owner cannot change the title now. It's a Facebook restriction.

Here is the info:

Can I change the name of my event?
If your event has fewer than 5000 people invited, you can change the name of it at any time. If your event has more than 5000 people invited, you can only change it within the first 7 days after it was created

Crap, well this may be an option then to get this to show up on the news feed for people. The admins should add some photos and/or videos to the group. I believe that will make something show up on the news feed, correct?

If you are the admin of the event, you can add a photo by clicking "Edit Event" at the top right of the event page. From there, click "Add Event Photo" to upload a photo for the event. If you'd like to upload more photos, you may post them on the Wall of the event. - http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=829

Itstime is the Admin for the facebook page. You can send him a PM.

This is a great idea, especially since the new Facebook design displays Facebook Events far less prominently than it did before, meaning even fewer people will notice the event than would have before the redesign.

Changing the picture will notify people (which I just did)

I got the notification and I'm on the "awaiting reply" list

Edit: Correction, I was on the attending list; my second facebook profile was on the awaiting reply and did NOT get the notification
