Sorry, it won't happen. I wish we would have known about this before. I think we could have done it.

I think we will get 4.5 mil.

The 5.7 record... is that online or offline? We still may have claimed the single biggest ONLINE donations in a day.

i sent out emails to both my meetup groups.
if we break this record, the media will talk about this all week, and on into the primaries, no doubt.

The offline donations would be counted in that total. That and with the script backlog, it could be done.

By the way, the day will be "over" soon, but it will only be 9pm here on the good ole West coast. I have a feeling donations will be coming in for a while after :)

I realize the campaign's e-mail was late, but this is the Ron Paul Revolution we're talking about. Let's break 5.7 mil anyway!

Yup, don't forget the offline donations which are typically 20-25% of online donations. That'll add another million to the 4 million collected, then if there is a backlog.. it's certainly possible! Donate :D

I can't imagine the campaign would send out something they knew couldn't be done. I'm liking the backlog theory.

Agreed. Let's do this!

We already far surpassed the online total. We also passed the Republican total (on+off), which was Mitt Romney with 3.1 million. I believe that Hilary has the record total of all time, with 6.2 million.

im pretty convinced that there is backlog, and that the 5.7m is a very achievable goal... but we need to donate hard in 1 last surge to ensure it.

donate now!

Also, can't people make donations over the phone? Maybe those aren't in the graph.

Wouldn't it be beautifully symbolic to beat Hilary's total - after all, RP is going to beat her in the election ... ??

Austin

It would be, but I don't want people to have false hopes. Let's keep it realistic. We will likely be at 4.5 by 12 tonight.

But the backlog. Remember, remember, the backlog of donations.

Is there really a backlog? I donated 20 minutes ago. Saw my name in the ticker, got an email confirmation right away. It's on my online CC statement.

John Kerry, on the day he accepted nomination from his party. Insane that Paul has come even close to touching the record when not a single primary has taken place.

Outstanding!

They say that was on the day Kerry received the Democratic nomination.

If Ron Paul receives the Republican nomination I'm sure we will top that. We might even double it.

2.7MIL is the biggest online day of all time if I am not mistaken.
3.1MIL is the biggest day of this season on the GOP side.

Both have been broken, RP is nearing 4MIL right now
