They were talking about politics and had a funny image of Ron Paul with a dynamite by him and then the dynamite exploded and money came out.

The guy said "they call it a money bomb.. ron paul raised over $2,000,000 in just 12 hours. They then send they couldn't confirm the number".

It was still a good little piece though.. they didn't put much emphasis on couldn't confirm, so you hardly noticed it.

From the CNN news ticker:

"Ticker: Ron Paul claims to raise $2.7M in a day "

2.7? Better update those figures dudes.

Seems that is the way the MSM is going to blow this all off. I have also heard them suggest that these are only pledges, not real money.

We all must realize that they are not going to give RP a break. They will eventually learn.

As the old saying goes, "he who laughs last, laughs best." :D

Any good reporter would add that the number is not confirmed. Unless the Ron Paul campaign announces it officially, they could get in trouble if it turns out there was a mistake somewhere. They are rightfully careful.

They actually spent a little time doing art of him specifically for this? Good sign.

I don't hear anyone giving disclaimers like that when the Hillary or Obama or Giuliani campaigns give a fundraising figure for an event.

Hopefully someone puts this tiny clip up on YouTube. I just rewinded it on the DVR back to the spot to watch it again. Something caught my eye in the little graphic they used. I went back and watched it in slow-mo. Someone REALLY cared about this. When the dynamite and Ron Paul's head both explode, $5 bills popped up, but they were clearly labeled as gold or silver certificates (couldn't really tell, it was kinda blurry). Either way, they weren't Fed notes.

AWESOME!

I really think they are skeptical because they really just can't believe it. I know I am sometimes guilty of prefixing some kind of disclaimer to something I am floored (or skeptical) about.

Yeah it's incredibly ironic that the yellow journalists and party shills on the MSM want to "confirm" the numbers.

If Ghouliani had done it they'd be reporting it as fact.

What is there to confirm? It is using an automated computer software that records the credit card donations online.
