See a lot of OWS threads and thought we needed a poll.
You know, back when RP supporters started the Tea Party everyone was clamoring about how to stop the co-opting, but it seemed by the time it was well known the co-opting was already well entrenched. I see the same thing happening to the OWS movement. Obama is already pumping up his jobs plan, saying its in the interest of OWS, and painting the right as job-destroyers.
So co-opting of large movements that have an identifiable label like OWS or Tea Party is bound to happen no matter what you do.
I've posted a thread on OWS along with quite a few others here at RPF, and I only see a small fraction of support for what OWS and the message its trying to get out. I'm wondering if there's lurkers out there that think OWS is good or bad for achieving liberty. Because at the moment I see mostly name-calling and collectivist labels being applied to OWS on this forum with a minority of people open to the idea of supporting OWS and trying to build bridges between OWS and the wider liberty movement.
So do you think OWS is a net positive strategy for achieving liberty or a net negative? Not asking whether you support OWS as that brings into the fold those who wouldn't support it simply because they have RP2012 as a priority.
