Cain - 34% (10%)
Romney - 19% (20%)
Gingrich - 14% (8%)
Paul - 7% (8%)
Bachmann - 6% (14%)
Perry - 5% (21%)
Huntsman - 1% (1%)
Santorum - 1%
Johnson - 0%

Ron Paul Crosstabs:

18 to 29 - 23% (7%)
30 to 45 - 10% (9%)
46 to 65 - 5% (9%)
Older than 65 - 3% (6%)


Man - 10% (10%)
Woman - 4% (6%)

This is OK considering Dr. Paul only got about 5% there in 2008.

I couldn't find any PPP data for Ohio from the 2008 election but from February 25th to November 11th of 2007, nine Quinnipiac polls were conducted there and Ron Paul never registered above 2% in any of them.

i grew up in ohio and most people there in the GOP are sheeple. Surprising to see Newt so high, but the Cain/Romney thing confirms my statement

Ohio can be easily won over once RP shows he is viable in the early states. Ohio is usually an early March primary. Lots of time.

And Ohio is an open primary whereas this poll is only likely republican voters.

This poll is just more reason to concentrate all our energy on winning Iowa and New Hampshire. This completely flips if we win early.
