Why were the $4 million and $6 million moneybombs on '08 so successful? Surely, it was because the concept of the moneybomb was a new thing -- sure. But it was also because we had passion. And we had a broad base of support across the movement. Over what -- where did the passion come from? It came from the idea that the media has no ethical authority to choose the nominee for the GOP -- they have no ethical right to smear one candidate over another, or ignore one over another. We had a lot going for us back then.

So the question remains: how do we garner that same passion for October 19th that we had going for us in '08? We need to present a message to the public that isn't exclusive to Dr. Paul. We need to create a Facebook page that has the message of something like this: "The media is being biased, and it needs to end. Particularly, whether you support him or not this has been occurring for Presidential Candidate Ron Paul. Donate on October 19th to Ron Paul -- even if you don't support him, to send a message to the media that blacking out any candidate for the Presidency is not fair, and not something we as Americans support."

Thoughts? I think this is absolutely something that can get us tons of more pledges, especially if they make a few minor changes to the Black THIS Out website to make it more inviting for non-Ron Paul supporters. We have three days -- we can still get many, many more people on board.

Why do you want us to stick up for other candidates? It is their travail. Why do you want us to use our resources to cover the other political jokes asses?*They deserve blacking out as shills. What is your game "patriot"?

Well, hmmm. We have two options, you see. The first is to be friendly to everyone, and be inviting to all. That, yes, means being a bit more broad and possibly defending other candidates -- which, by the way, is something we should support, unless we prefer being hypocritical. The second option is that of acting like everyone else doesn't exist, and treating them like a giant elephant in the room. I wonder which would get us more votes and pledges :)
