Carnahan: GOP should abide by outcome of Missouri’s February presidential primary

Basically "votes" don't matter this time around with no such thing as faithless electors.

Q: Who can go to a caucus?
A: Any registered voter in a county who says he or she is a Republican.

Does that mean you have to be a registered republican or can independents take part by declaring they are republicans on the day of the caucus?

eduardo89 independents can take part you don't have to be officially registered. I'm pretty sure you just find out where and when your caucus is and then you just walk in. They might ask if you're republican. Just say yes.

Here is pseudo-explanation I gave in another post. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?319248-Missouri-might-become-caucus-state&p=3605539#post3605539

It will probably be posted on the Missouri GOP's webpage at a later time. I think it's still early and counties have not planned their caucus yet.

If your County GOP has a website or Facebook, it will probably be posted there too when it's scheduled.

So basically, Missouri couldn't move their primary back to comply with the national GOP so the primary will go on, but the state GOP has stated the caucus will be used on March 17?? to comply with the National GOP requirements.

Missouri will still hold a primary on February 7 but it will have no binding effect on delegates.

How do we find out where our counties caucus is?

The first caucuses will be done by county. Unless you live in St Louis County, then your first caucus will be by township.
County caucuses takes place on March 17 (St Patrick's Day) at 10am. (Doors CLOSE at 10am!)
The location of these caucuses must be disclosed via newspaper in the area at least 15 days prior to caucus according to RNC Rule 15 (d).
So by March 2nd, you should know a location for your county caucus.

The second caucuses will be done by congressional district.
Congressional District caucuses take place on April 21 at 10am. (Doors close at 10am!)
So by April 6th you should know a location for your congressional district caucus.

The state convention is June 2-4 in Springfield, MO
Location is University Plaza and Convention Center 333 S. John Q Hammons Pkwy. 65806

I am from MO. If you would like to exchange contact info with me- send me a pm on this site.
