Couple snips, click ^^^ for entire article...

Yesterday the New York Daily News solemnly told its readers that Herman Cain, having just raised $8 million, was third in fundraising in the Republican field, right behind Romney and Perry. Don’t they wish. The truth is that Ron Paul is third and he is the candidate that raised the $8 million, not Herman Cain.
...
That’s all right, Ron Paul supporters say. Keep it up. Nothing angers the Paulistas more than the flagrant favoritism and manipulation of the media. On October 19 the Ron Paul campaign is calling its next fundraiser, “BLACK THIS OUT” a sarcastic response to debate hosts who purposely exclude him and blatantly promote their own favorites, regardless of the polls.

Can't someone bring a civil lawsuit for this? Lying isn't permitted, is it? Can they really do that?

Yeah. It's like assassinations aren't permitted either, but they do it anyway.

Well, do we know if Herman Cain raised $8 million last quarter? If so, this might not need to be corrected...I don't think his campaign has released official numbers yet have they? Just wondering if we know for a fact how much his campaign raised...

Does anybody know when the numbers are required to be released?

It's been reported that Cain is expected to announce fundraising numbers somewhere in the neighborhood of $8 million dollars for the third quarter.

That would be a significant increase from what he raised in the second quarter, when he reported raising $2.5M and spending $2 million, with $480 thousand cash on hand.

Guess we'll find out soon enough. ;)

There can be major negatives to overhyping and underperforming.

The reports/numbers for Q3 must be in by October 15.

And Herman Cain absolutely did not raise $8 million. Before his bump at the end of the quarter, he was low in the polls.

This source says that as of October 5, he said he had raised about $2.1 million.

It came from a media lie, as per the article by Doug Wead. :)

Yea I saw that article too.. Still! Where the hell do they get that also lol... Someone at the MSM said, "Hey you know if we replace Ron Paul with Herman Cain in front of $8million..."

Edit: Hope there is some blowback, or article edits after Oct. 15th. Oh oops our bad! Or Herman! How dare your campaign lie to us! :p

Make sure you comment and let the audience AND the authors know the truth.

Cain's answer is always the same: his advisors will tell him the answer.

I'd like to see someone ask him what he's going to do when the advisors disagree. Because the advisors ALWAYS disagree.
