We have quite a few folks running this time it seems and they are making the rounds.
What insights do we have on the various candidates?
I plan on coming back here to post more info regarding those I've seen.
For example, this week at our local meeting Peter Petigrew mostly focused on monetary policy and made a favorable mention of Ron Paul regarding his introduction of the Federal Reserve Transparency Act. Also, we got none of the pro-war/ entangling alliances rhetoric. It just was not mentioned. I don't know his stance.

AxXiom has put together some lowdown on him that I just came across yesterday. Bears more looking but I'm getting the impression he may be another wolf in sheeps clothing. http://axiomamuse.wordpress.com/tag/wayne-pettigrew/

http://dakotawoodforcongress.com Dakota Wood- I don't like anything he says about national security or social issues.
Looking through most of the candidates websites, I just don't see anyone who I want to throw my support behind here.

Just met Dakota Wood last night. He seems to be a very nice guy and he is also smoother in his stump speeching than the others I've seen so far.
Of course, that isn't what we are looking for and sadly as you point out his foreign policy is a bust.
I had him address the NDAA and controversies surrounding it as well and he came at it from a direction of how it empowers us to get those helping the terrorists even if they are American. Actually, it was more along the lines of it fixing how terrorists could currently hide behind some legal protections that were still in place. According to his understanding the bill does not affect citizens which is funny because it is exactly those citizen protection it is trying to get around.
On positive unrelated note... one of the Bachman supporters there has turned to Ron Paul :)
