Where the Heck is Ron Paul? (http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/where-heck-ron-paul)

It struck me this morning (well, it struck me many times before, but this morning it was just too much). I was listening to NPR's Morning Edition. The report (listen here) on tonight's GOP debate covered just about everything you can cover in four-and-a-half minutes: The debate's focus on the economy, deficit, tax reform, and entitlements; Sarah Palin's and Chris Christie's exit from the race; Herman Cain's from-the-outside strategy; Mitt Romney's 25% ceiling; and of course his “Mormon problem” as raised by Rick Perry—“this is something we're watching,” said Mara Liasson, NPR's national political correspondent. I mean, come on. She also spent some time on how Perry is preparing for the debate to make up ground he lost in the last three debates. OK, great, we need to know this.

But where the heck is Ron Paul?

He is the one who did well in those debates. He won the most recent straw poll. He raised $8 million in the last three months from over 100,000 supporters. He is not some Tom, Dick, and Harry. He is a real candidate, unlike Palin, who dropped out, but he doesn't even get mentioned as a participant.

You don't need to be a supporter of him to be outraged. Even a Perry supporter or an ardent Democrat who listened to this report would want to know that there is a legitimate candidate named Ron Paul who will participate in the debate, and who will, if past record is any indication, do well. A democracy needs accurate news coverage to function properly. And when coverage fails so miserably time and again, we need to ... do more research....

Bang! Awesome, including comments. These folks get it.

Here's one:

suggested slogan for his campaigners:

"The reason you've never heard of Ron Paul is the reason you need to vote for him"

I also saw SwissAustrian post the link to the BTO moneybomb, but no real explain. Gopherit!

This forum should be made aware of bto, but carefully. I enrolled but it takes 4 days to get checked. I would say enroll, be patient for a ron paul related article and promote the bto.

Why is this in media spin?

I have no idea. It's great, and so are the comments. The site gets huge traffic too. Another good place to target people for BTO.

By now, this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Someone should create a "Where's Waldo?" type of strategy for Ron. "Where's Ron?" In a picture of all the politicians who supported all the bank bailouts and/or wars, you should attempt to find the only liberty minded man out of all the crooks. Something ridiculous like that. or from another cartoon, "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?" Other than BTO, which was a great idea, we need to create something that mocks the media's attempt at ignoring or demeaning Ron.

Zerohedge rules. I've got it open in my browser all day. They're ridiculously pro-Paul. I'm sure they'll push BTO when the time comes.

Good article... but I won't extend that praise to many of the comments. Not unless you care to have Paul assoiciated with anti-semitism. :(

Zerohedge makes me wish I had enough wealth to invest in the markets, it's the one place where it's relatively easy to learn about them.

Oh, and they are incredibly pro-liberty as well, hence the Ron Paul love.

One of the early warning signs of a co-opted internet will be the shut-downn of zerohedge, and probably this site as well, although we are a bit tame next to them.

ZeroHedge is a good street cred and gritty source of info and commentary, often weeks or even months ahead of the curve. I have been seeing Ron Paul BTO black barred avatars at many comments sections that have nothing to do with the campaigns or even monetary isues. Many kudos to the good folks promoting this, as well as the comments the aforementioned avatar users left on the various boards which got alot of replies in the affirmative following their entries.

Yeah, +1 on that. The cointelpro trolls are out in force. I've noticed this picking up lately, making Paul supporters out to be anti-Semites. Which is absolutely asinine to anybody who actually supports Dr Paul since they would know that his 3 favorite economists, whose pictures hang on the wall of his office in DC, are ALL JEWS, Hayek, Rothbard & Mises. Ron Paul receives the support of REAL JEWS not the political Zionist sellouts who collaborated with (Ha'avara Agreement 1933-1941) & were/are politically aligned with the NAZIS (right-Hegelian socialists).

I cut down your quote so people would visit the site. It's a good site, anyhow.

Paul voted against funding NPR. I believe Bachmann did as well. That might be a reason for NPR to be anti-Paul and anti-Bachmann.

BLOOMBERG

What was truly terrible were those disgusting Bloomberg hacks:

Charlie Rose
Tom Keene
Margaret Brennen

All of them censored, manipulated, and belittled according to plan. ONly interviewing post debate, the ringer puppets and Tom Keene's last remark of "What's with all the hate for THE FED?" sealed their agenda.

Michael Bloomberg and his Aristocratic Manhattanites sent a message that no one will politically advance, that exposes and/or threatens the racketeering of the FEDERAL RESERVE, WALL STREET, and the Banking Cartel.

It's that simple

I still keep tweeting with the hash tags #econdebate #Dartmouth

Not that it matters, but Hayek wasn't Jewish.
