I feel this movement could be very important to RP, and I'd like a fact based approach to evaluating it.
Are they RP supporters? Dunno - but do you think they are potential RP supporters? (Yes!)

The "core group is NOT Acorn.. though they may have joined.
The "core" group is not the Unions,, though they joined also.
