Virginia Economics and Personal Finance Teachers are meeting in Richmond today to learn "new" and "innovative" ways to teach economics and personal finance to Virginia students and citizens. The sponsors for the event: Wells Fargo, Bank of America, BB&T, Sun Trust, Glenco, Virginia Credit Union and The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. The basic message: The bankers know why the economy is collapsing! Have a banker come teach your class for you!!! As I sit in a conference room at the Richmond Marriott there are hundreds of teachers eating this stuff up, taking notes, and taking the bankers word as economic gospel. I want to throw up because the majority of VA students will receive banker-approved Keynesian nonsense. I guess I can only save my own students.
