YouTube recently launched a "Politics" channel that shows how the candidates compare with each other according to video views on YouTube. This can't be right...

This is absurd. Ron Paul has the strongest internet following--even over Obama. This is corruption at a high level. Unless of course, they include views on videos of how badly Rick Perry sucks.

Not to mention, the featured "hot political video" that shows up on the homepage is from Think Progress... Really?

They are basing it on the official campaigns' YouTube channels.

There's no way to verify whether these numbers are correct because the stats are not based on total all-time views.

Yeah, I've commented on articles about this, it is because there are so many 'mirrors' of Ron's official videos and supporter videos. We really need to watch those on the campaign youtube channel. The guy who took over ronpaul.com as I understand it took over the campaign youtube channel when it lapsed, with all its subscriptions then didn't give it back. He puts up the videos and people watch them there, then they DON'T on Ron's and it isn't counted in official views. He isn't the only one, people up load them with purely good intentions so those searching 'by upload date' will see them, but then it isn't reflected in official views, either. I honestly don't know if this is a nut we can crack. It is due to MORE internet support, not less.

Start watching all the videos on his official channel from beginning to end. There is an algorithm that prevents views from show up if you simply click it and go onto the next video.

Someone may or may not bring this up, but this will definitely not make or break the presidency or sway anyone. It's a bleep on the radar. We need to pick our battles and not bother with this.

I think we already know that we are winning, this does not matter.

If this really is an official YouTube channel, it's made itself irrelevant. Click on the "subscribers" tab and see. Everyone knows we own the internet, including YouTube.
