It either reminds me of a cult or a kindergarten class. I have no idea wtf is going on, but it's hilarious.

They can't use mics and blowhorns some places.... they are apparently using it in places where they can .... I have no idea why.

Mic check. Mic check. Mic check. Mic check. Mic check.

what was that guy doing, seeing exactly how stupid those drones were?

Those things are so collectivist I don't think I could attend without my head exploding.

"You sound like you're from Texas. This isn't Texas where you can do whatever comes to your mind. " LOL That was funny.

what is with the herd speak?

That is bizarre. But really no different than what I have seen at some political rallies.

This is why I love our herd of cats. When we are of the same mind it is for personal reasons and reached by independent thought.

He says Mic check. They are using the mass echo by the crowd to amplify the speaker so that the whole crowd can hear him.

it's called the 'human microphone'. in huge crowds where the main speaker can't use any form of voice amplification, people in the front repeat loudly what the main speaker said, and people behind him repeat loudly what the people in front of them said, and so on until the people in the back have heard what was said. it's actually an ingenious way of spreading a message as well as getting everyone really involved.

What if what's said is not worth repeating?
Seems to me it borders on brainwashing and hive mind control.

likely boost the ego of self appointed leaders as well.

Self-righteous microphone guy doesn't want anyone else to speak but himself. This also looks like every guy at Whole Foods/Trader Joes/Sprouts etc who shops with this bike helmet on so he can show how fucking awesome he is for not driving to the grocery store.
