Most Herman Cain supporters are people disenchanted with the establishment. Make Ron Paul their second choice for President by highlighting his defense of the Constitution and telling about how he started the Tea Party.

Suggested comments(not limited to):
"Cain/Paul 2012"
"Cain/Paul put the establishment on the run!"
"Cain/Paul for an America first national defense"
"Cain/Paul to protect our seniors"
"Cain/Paul, the Tea Party goes to Washington"
"Cain/Paul for the Constitution"
"Cain/Paul, let the young people have a future"
"Cain/Paul, principle over politics"

This is how we will win over voters. I should know, I was a Cain supporter at first.

Lets get recruiting some Cainiacs!

You miss the point. We are trying to convert people. Ron Paul can't win with what he has now.

Most Cain supporters i've ran into are the same unprincipled Tea party people that give the grandfather of their party a bad name. They are not a lost cause, but I think we should be direct with them instead of subversion.

This.

It's always good to know what leads people to Ron. That would be a better way to convert them.

Great question!

I developed a liking for Ron Paul after learning that he didn't seem to be as liberal as I was told. As a matter of fact, after checking his record I found he was the most fiscally conservative member in Congress. And I was pleased to learn his respect and defense of the Constitution. I still had problems with his social and foreign views though.

I became persuaded by the argument that government is ineffective at everything it does. Government is not a moral authority, and while pushing moral views can seem good, it can just as quickly backfire. And government could have the authority to ban whatever it wants. I will say this, if he had not been so adamantly pro-life I would have never considered him, so this needs to be mentioned. It was harder for me to accept his foreign policy. But I had become disillusioned with nation building and democracy spreading, so I was open to ideas. I became convinced that war is an endless cycle of destruction, and we should only fight to defend ourselves. One issue was Israel-Iran, but I learned the details about both of their military capabilities and became reassured. If you want to convert conservatives, cite conservative heroes! Ronald Reagan, Russell Kirk, William Buckley, Robert Taft, Calvin Coolidge, Dwight Eisenhower, and most importantly the Founders.

Preach consistency. This caused me to think. Why should you favor intervention in one aspect, but be opposed to it in another aspect.

Be friendly. Rabid Ron Paul supporters kept me turned off for a long time. Comments like "F%^% the shills RP 2012" aren't very affective.

I think you find that those type of people are by far the minority, though a vocal one. It's as frustrating for us as anyone else.

i saw a news story how the tea party has gone from donald trump to michele bachmann to herman cain in these past six months,
however mitt romney consistently glommed onto a number two position under the reigning flavor of the month in the polled groups.
