I really love the cards available on ronpauldesigns.com by Justin and I think it'd be a good idea to come up with a card we could hand out to the Occupy Wall Street crowd. They may seem to hate capitalism, but if we can show them that what they're actually against is corporatism we might be able to get a few on board with Ron Paul. Remember, EVERY vote matters!

This is a concept I came up with, I need help though on what to actually write on the back.

Obviously this is just a rough draft and I'm sure Justin could make something like looks a million times better, but this would be the general idea. What do you all think?

What should be on the back?

Touch on corporatism, the Fed, and transparency in government.

Be sure to define corporatism from free markets corporation...it can easily be taken the wrong way and backfire in a sense.

What about one with some statistics like "In the amount of time it will take you to read this card the goverment will have spent x amount, increased the defecit by x amount, the fed will have printed x amount of dollars backed by nothing, x amount of civilians will have died in non declared wars of agression" etc.

No, I will not take part in this and I will not place Ron Pauls campaign at jeopardy with a socialist movement on wallstreet.

Bingo. Don't waste your time with these people. They are straight up socialists whose soul goal is to redistribute wealth for their hippy buts. Just my two cents from seeing them protest at the Chicago Fed last week.

No one is asking you to do anything.

To the OP good job on the concept card. :)

How about a 2 sided card.

Side 1: "War is a State Socialist Racket"

Side 2: "War is a State Capitalist Racket"

Often lefty-commie-anarchist types hate libertarians and anarcho-"capitalists" more than anything. But that's because libertarians use loaded terms like "capitalist" and "socialist" to mean "free market capitalist" and "state socialist". But actually there is such a thing as STATE capitalism and free market socialism.

Depending on how long this goes for, but perhaps the first batch should also include http://blackthisout.com

Maybe something about anti big-corporation (and anti big-government), but you somewhat already have that on how Ron Paul would veto corporate bailouts. Maybe something about the $16 trillion given to big corporate banks that are buddies with the Federal Reserve.

Please do not bump bad ideas, let this one disappear into obscurity. Very bad idea to have Ron Paul's name anywhere near a marxist/socialist sponsored event of Soros and his ilk. What in the hell are you thinking? I strongly disapprove of this idea. Cards look great, just not something to pass out at an event like this.

There are more of us than them, and we are probably more loyal to our cause. It's time to co-opt them like Dick Armey co-opted our Tea Party.

Exactly. They may be idiots, but they can be our useful idiots ;)

It should be business card sized with practically ALL of the space devoted to the issues that they are likely to agree with anyway. Avoid issues that a socialist/leftist would likely disagree on. No pic of RP, and only a small reference to his name at the end. You want them to read it and be thinking, "yes, let's stop that, yes let's make this reform, yes a politician with that position is what we need, if only there were a politician who is so principled....wait, there is? Ron Paul? okay...."

Agreed. This is a perfect chance to educate people about corporatism. The majority of the people are uneducated about this. It's a perfect opportunity to co-opt the idea.

Thank you! Any ideas on design/wording? Maybe get rid of the RP picture?

You are right that there are people that hold this belief at these protests. There also are many others. It seems to me that the Paul supporters are respecting him by focusing on educating others rather than converting them to the campaign. At least as far as I can tell.

My opinion is that these cards will get tossed out. It is too happy, cheerful and not edgy enough for the occupy wall street group. I'd touch upon corporatism, ending the fed and the wars.

Those of you who say this is a bad idea... Have you watched the video of a RP supporter preaching to the occupywallstreet group? It is absolutely awe inspiring and going viral on youtube. He got a lot of cheers and head nods when he started talking about how the US only exports tanks, bombs, missiles and violence. I'd definitely focus on this and tell them RP is the man to get us out of the foreign entanglements.

That is one thing nearly all of these protestors can get behind.

Its a stretch for even the mainstream to pit Dr. Paul as a socialist, lol. It looks good to have people going and trying to inform. Alot better then what most the GOP is doing, hating on them just like they got hated on. Very few people in this country are socialists, but this crowd pulls a different group then the tea party does, and allowing them to grow into a full on social movement would be extremely dangerous to our Liberties.

They are pissed at the banks, so maybe a card with a pic of obama and list all of the donations he received from each individual bank. That can help plant the seeds of doubt in the minds of people there who may support him. I also agree with PA bringing his ties with Monsanto up and strongly emphasizing his expansion of wars.
