Alabama's new immigration law requires public schools to document the legal status of children upon enrollment. As a result, many immigrant families are withdrawing their children from school.

I think this could be a good or bad thing. If there parents are paying taxes then I don't think they should be turned away. But, if the children aren't in school and both parents are working 3 jobs each just to survive, the children could turn out poorly.
