View Full Version : Today's SAT essay topic: Is discipline necessary for liberty?

My friend's daughter just got back from taking the SAT today. This was the topic for the essay. I immediately thought of Ron Paul when I heard it. As a matter of fact, if she had just written down "RON PAUL", it should've been enough to get a full score.

Just though I'd share a random thought ;)

It's just operant conditioning. Positive, negative rewards.

Lots of times neg rewards actually reenforce the behavior. (as in yelling might reward the behavior.) lots times ignoring the undesired behavior is good. Kids also learn by observation so if you are a responsible person then they tens to be one too. (as in teachers kids often end up as teachers also etc)
