If I have to speculate, many Tea Partiers and Republicans (Mitt Romney probably among them) would be ready to hang Obama, metaphorically speaking.

I certainly hope there would be massivee political opposition against such an extra-judicial killing. But I'm not so sure looking at political reaction to recent news of assassination of US born citizens by Obama without a trial.

Although a President had not explicitly named a US citizen for target assassination, end result was death of US citizens including children and women.

Seriously? I don't know about you but, if the Gov't comes for me.....some of them will leave my house the same way I will. Are you trying to start a conspiracy about Anwar Al-Awlaki? I understand we are a Nation of Laws.....but we are talking about mass murderers and proven terrorists, "enemies both foreign and domestic" So, I have to ask you this, do you sleep better at night knowing that several of the masterminds behind the twin towers massacre, and many attempted bombings, have been eradicated? Or should we put them on parade so the whole world can see and inflame those martyrdom loving freaks that will surely put more of our citizens and soldiers in harms way? Some times it's best to do it covertly, just ask any soldier that has seen bloody battle.

If Obama administration and wide spread media claims confirmed that said "Tea Party Terrorist" whose target killing Obama had ordered ( hypothetically ) was "plotting bombing of several federal buildings and killing of federal officials" , would your friend be then on board with Obama's extra judicial killing of those suspected "mass murderers" US citizen Tea Party "terrorists"?
