Thanks for mention the Portsmouth, NH Metro in your post.

Here is more info about that 400,000+ population area of NH, http://www.krgspec.com/MSAOverview.cfm?AreaID=247

The best Californians have been leaving CA for years and the tend will continue for years to come. If you live in CA, get out. Move somewhere better. Go where the government isn't so awful. Move to NH or SD. Heck, move to ID, WY or CO. Just get the heck out of CA.

In the 1800s a famous New Hampshire man coined the phrase "go west young man." Now, at least for the people of CA, the phrase should be go east young man.

I live in CA and I would go to ND, SD, or NH, but they don't have the kind of jobs that need my skills like in biotech and businesses that work with Japanese firms (I'm fluent in Japanese).

Can anyone hook me up in those states with those jobs? I would move.

I WANT to move, specially with the dollar losing value every day.

There is a FSP Job Alert facebook group for NH, https://www.facebook.com/groups/fspjobalert/

Most of the people in CA are getting what they deserve. They just elected Jerry Brown again for gods sake. I feel bad for the small government folks in CA, they are way outnumbered. The only solution I see for these folks is to move out of state. This isn't always easy especially if you have lots of family and friends around.
