While his polls aren't literal truth about where candidates stand with the electorate (Cain isn't and probably never will be #1), they due pick up trends, and Cain is probably due for some kind of surge after his Presidency 5 win.

That's the most ridiculous poll I have ever seen.

A 5 year old with a microphone and clipboard could put together a better poll than Zogby.

Unless they're onto something.....

The media will make Cain surge as I said earlier (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?318515-When-Rick-Perry-drops-out-Ron-Paul-could-be-second-place-Republicans-enter-the-Wild-West&p=3593803#post3593803) to ensure that Dr Paul is kept out of #2

So many great things about this

1. A non establishment candidate is tops in a poll weakens the Ron Paul can't win argument

2. The pundits who said it was Perry and Romney now discredited

3. Makes voters question what they are being told by the media

4. Further scrutiny will show Cain is a weak candidate - he supported TARP - endorsed Mitt Romney 2008 - for wars - said in 2007 the economy is great and had no idea what was coming

Nah, this is that 'sign up to be in our polls' thing. Those polled are self selected.

Does anyone else think it'd be hilarious to see Cain vs Obama?

I have to admit, Cain may be trending upwards. Everybody kinda likes him and if he seems "electable" than people will start supporting him.

However like Bachman and Perry, his support won't be set in stone like Romeny's and Paul's.

Of all serious candidates I feel like Cain and Paul have the most crossover appeal.

Not a bad Paul poll, and it shows the race dynamic is changing. I'm fine with a little shake-up to the Rick-n-Mitt show.

Um, isn't this the polling company where anyone can register and choose to take part in their polls? If so, then the results aren't really all that relevant.

Hahahaha. Cain's campaign is pushing this poll on his facebook page. "Mr. Cain is 10 points ahead of the rest of the GOP field!" His supporters are eating it up.

I just feel bad for his supporters when they see in the next poll that he is closer to 10%. Make no mistake though, those Cain supporters won't be leaving him very easily. His campaign is doing a good job of painting him as a victim of the media, ect.

While I too believe this is inaccurate, I also believe that the trend is true that Perry is falling and Cain is rising. I think people enjoy Cain's angle of, "These guys aren't giving you solutions. Listen to what I have to say." It's in your face which people like and calls those phonies out for what they are. There's still a lot of game to be played though!

He has gone 4, 5, 7 recently. I don't think he has risen significantly.

Anyway, there's got to be a reason RCP doesn't use Zogby in their tracking.

While Zogby is bogus, for those of you laughing at Cain are idiots. Pure and simple. Cain will get a bump. Due to our failings at the Presidency 5, we may even fall behind Cain. I really wouldn't be surprised if we did fall a few points behind Cain. I'm no laughing like the rest of you.

What we're laughing at is a 21 point bump in a few days. Doesn't happen.

Maximus

I'm not saying he didn't get a bump. But he isn't at 40% or whatever ridiculous number Zogby pegged him at.

He will get a bump. He will likely be at 10% maximum. Probably a point or two ahead of us in most polls, but not for long. This is a complete media fabrication, and we've seen how long they hold up quite a few times already :p.
