Well, the Tea Party URL is up for sale at least.
Whatever happened to the band by the same name? Seems they had broken up. Looks like they will make a little extra money selling their web address.

But anyone seized with a desire for smaller government who visits teaparty.com won’t find angry activists in tricorn hats spouting Thomas Jefferson. Instead, they’ll land on the website of a Canadian rock band of the same name that pioneered a style of Middle Eastern fusion known as “Moroccan roll” and broke up six years ago.

Canadian band looks to sell 'Tea Party' URL
OTTAWA — Canadian rock band The Tea Party is in talks to sell its web domain to the American conservative political movement for up to one million dollars, a US magazine reported Monday.
BusinessWeek said the band's teaparty.com is among the top results for online searches for the phrase "tea party," which has both annoyed and given an unexpected boost to the nearly forgotten Windsor, Ontario band.
For those unfamiliar with the band, they were something of a mix of Zeppelin, Jim Morrison and Nine Inch Nails:
